In the Entesol Band AU, you said that Rell had a big fat crush on Seraphine, but that Zeri also had a ~tension~ with her. How would Rell react finding that out?

in my mind, Entresol’s main thing is and has always been about friendship. it’s about how these girls with insanely diverse backgrounds who struggled so much to be where they are today come together because of their love for music—which, with time, morphs into the love they feel for one another. so i debated a lot on how relevant i want romance to be in this story. the characters i envision having romantic feelings are sera, rell and zeri (even tho she’s punching herself in the face for them). jinx has… other stuff going on, (but it involves people outside the band so not relevant to the point), and briar views them all platonically

the point that i'm trying to make is that entresol zeriphine and serarell come from two very different places. rell and sera era very much emotionally invested in each other (I would actually use the word "love" for them), while zeri and seraphine's thing is more uh, it has layers.

i never pictured zeriphine actually dating, for example, and it's mainly because zeri has issues. she's so angry because seraphine is everything she despises (girly, wears her emotions on her sleeve), but also everything zeri could never be (kind never expecting anything in return, lets herself be vulnerable). seraphine confronts the very notion zeri's identity is built on: that normal people are boring and will never match her in any way because she's so superior (talent-wise, smart-wise, etc) (which of course is zeri coping with the exclusion she's been faced with her entire life).

zeriphine is about attraction and it often spends more to the sexual side to me. i don't think they fucked before but yk, it's about the tension (and seraphine being more into it than she realizes).

but to answer the question: how does rell feel about zeri and seraphine's relationship? i actually think rell never viewed it for more than it actually was, and of course, entresol ! sera is very much polyamorous. i genuinely didn't want to make drama about it because 1) it wouldn't be fun for me to write (and entresol is a very self-indulgent project) 2) the thing that unites these girls is first and foremost friendship! i don't want them to fight over a love triangle. i think rell is much more focused on how she feels about seraphine than how seraphine might feel about zeri (because she knows that sera's possible feelings for zeri would not actually impact sera's possible feelings for her)
