Serato Remote For iPad
Before I sit here and begin to complain about what Serato Remote does NOT offer, perhaps we should get a clearer understanding of what it can actually do. Just about anything on your DVS screen that you normally activate with a button command or a mouse movement can be activated using only an iPad’s touch screen. There is a catch here that makes your laptop much different from your tablet – the tablet is not meant to display songs for selection, it is mean to alter the songs after they have been selected. All of the panels that are usually hidden when your playlist is front and center are now active on your tablet’s screen. The most basic use of the Remote has to do with individual effects that can be turned on and off with the tablet. FX such as high pass and low pass filter are now gigantic buttons that are clearly labeled. The on and off switches themselves take up a quarter of your screen. Beyond that you have control over your cue points, which are also labeled with large buttons. The sampler is where it really gets interesting and turns the app into a real time sampling machine. http://www.digitaldjtips.com/2013/07/review-video-serato-remote-for-ipad/
