KL IM NOT EVEN IN THE FANDOM AND I GASPED THEY TOOK CHAINSAW OUT OF THE DREAMS?? i dont know what that even means but i know it NOT GOOD. poor ronon. i feel like i need to do one of those 'things i learned about trc from my dash' because i know more than that other one that came up /o\
I am not going to stop anyone I know from doing a Things I Learned About TRC From KL because A) I’m so impressed some of you are even still here. Like, I love you a lot and I don’t want you to go anywhere, but there have to be caps to how much nonsense you don’t care about that you see before you just go UGH ENOUGH, so I would not hold it against you. (Also I would not hold it against you if you’ve just blocked everything to do with it. That’s why I tag!) And B) I am apparently bad at book descriptions, according to somuchpotential. But I DID tell her about the dragon, so. Priorities.
(Real talk, the Kavinsky bit for anyone who knows me should just read: Joseph Kavinsky is the actual worst. So of course, KL. Of course.)
But Ronan taking Chainsaw out of his dreams was a good thing! Because then we got to see a rough and tumble surly drunken street racing asshole carefully coddle a baby bird and feed it every two hours and carry it around school in a large bag so his professors wouldn’t notice and reinforce Gansey’s gut inclination that he did not want to have a baby with Ronan Lynch. And more importantly, so did EVERYONE AROUND HIM. Including Adam Parrish. Look Adam. LOOK AT THIS TERRIBLE BOY AND HOW FIERCELY HE LOVES THINGS. LOOK AT HOW CAREFUL HE CAN BE WHEN SOMETHING IS IMPORTANT. IN RELATED NEWS, YOU ARE VERY IMPORTANT.
Certainly though, there are things that come out of Ronan’s dreams that are not good. There were things that came out of his father’s dreams that were not good, and somewhat subjectively, very little of what came out of Kavinsky’s dreams was good. Even the innocuous things Kavinsky dreamed up had mal-intent. So being able to pull things from your dreams in itself is dangerous. Especially because sometimes Ronan lacks control and comes back with things that are actually dangerous to him and the people he loves. Some of the things Ronan pulls from his dreams try to kill him, but Chainsaw is not one of them.
Chainsaw is more like his familiar. She’s sort of an extension of him that gets to fly, which as you might imagine, is something I have a LOT of feelings about. Imagine a Ronan Lynch who can literally get above his troubles for a time, who can feel free and light. IMAGINE IT. I am. I might be useless for the rest of the day.
