Wax - Can you keep a secret?

If I know it’s a secret, yes. More often than not, though, I don’t have to - usually the person who tells me the secret goes around telling everybody else anyway.

50% of the reason I keep any secrets at any point, though? I’ve probably forgotten about it. Like, at any given moment if you asked me if I have, or am keeping, any secrets, I’ll probably genuinely tell you that I’m not - and mean it.

Tinderbox - What do you cherish most?

Myself? Not in the sense of my physical body, or like “my life is fantastic and full of stuff”, but in the broader sense - I probably “cherish” myself most because I’m what I’ve always relied on to get me through stuff?   

I keep making these answers serious and I want them to be fun and whimsical. I’m fun and whimsical, damn it! *shakes zimmer frame*

I’m honestly struggling to think of something more lighthearted. I cherish concealer. And lipstick.

Wolf - Do you have an inner monster?

His name is Bill and we have tea parties on Tuesdays and do brunch on Thursdays.

I think we all do. I think even the most chilled out, happy-go-lucky person you know does.

Mostly because I’ve been told I’m the most chilled out and happy-go-lucky person some people I know, know.

Yes - mine’s the ego; the perpetual anxiety machine; the little voice in the back of my head that’s constantly interrupting me and going “yeah, but what if...” or “why bother?”.

I'm so happy to see Margaret Atwood on your list of books, I love her so much and am always recommending her books to people! I also just really enjoyed reading your thoughts on these books, and plan on giving the ones I haven't heard of a look.

Margaret Atwood is one of my go to authors. I haven’t read everything she’s written yet, because she’s freaking prolific and I am but one, easily distractible girl, but I have read quite a bit of it and know that I’m going to love her writing for the rest of my life. There’s something to be said for finding your constant literary companions. Takes a bit of the pressure off other things. Also, her poetry man. I just CAN NOT with how great I think she is. 

(Also, I may be reading The Blind Assassin for the rest of my life regardless. That’s just one book I can’t crack. I keep picking it up, reading about thirty pages, and then putting it down again. It’s the same problem I have with Murakami’s Kafka on the Shore. One day my brain will be worthy of these books, maybe.)

I hope you do end up liking some of the ones you haven’t read! You know. just keep in mind I never claimed to have GOOD taste, just that those were some of the ones I can’t shake. ♥

What's one book you could read over and over and never get tired of?

Hmm, I might say “the bell jar”? Like I’m not a huge re-reader, but I’ve read that book more than once and it’s just… really good, yeah. Also, part of me says “at swim, two boys” but like, that book literally ripped my heart out so I honestly don’t know how many times I can read it! (even though it’s honestly one of the best written books I’ve ever read.)
