The mentor figure in Hades II is Hecate
I say that with 100% confidence
For one thing, she's clearly got a witchcraft and sorcery thing going on. Even the witch enemies from Hades are there! Hecate, as described by theoi.com (my personal favourite Greek Mythos source) is the goddess of "magic, witchcraft, the night, moon, ghosts and necromancy". Which are motifs that I think are pretty broadly obvious throughout the entirety of the trailer
Additionally, she's got those heads on her shoulders, which are definitely a reference to that one famous statue of Hecate
Hecate also has two torches, which seems to have been creatively depicted by Supergiant Games to double as her magical staff(s) in the trailer
The last thing is the "Wheel of Hecate", also known as the stropholos/strophalos. This can be seen throughout the entire trailer (clearly being used as a symbol for the witchcraft being done, or whatever this army is since Nemesis has it too), but most notably it can be seen on the tutor's (Hecate's) hat and the protagonist's belt
i can't stop editing trinity santos to niche italian songs (me and her other 3 italian fans cheered)

I'm gonna admit I'm peeved about people online only talking about the wildfires now that its affecting the east. There's been fire and smoke in BC and Alberta since April. May had a few particularly bad and smokey weeks, but I didn't see anyone talking about it but local newspapers
But Ontario's smokey? Quebec's smokey? NEW YORK is smokey??? Oh man time for news! Time for youtubers to talk about it! Time for tumblr to make memes about it! Wow! The EAST is on fire? Now THAT'S somewhere people care about!!!! Eastern Canada? Eastern America? AMERICA? IS ON FIRE? OGHHDHHFH TIME TO PAY ATTENTION
Like I know it's a good thing that we're talking about it. It's good people are paying attention to climate change and are spooked. But....ugh. People online just do not care until it reaches the East or it heads south. (And even then, it was smokey in Western America but no one talked about it then either...the only person I saw talking about it was a friend I have in Wyoming—no one else)
Shit, man, I remember this happening when the 2019 wildfires got bad too. No one talked about how smokey and shitty it was until it got smokey in the east coast, too. And I get that it's partly because it reaching ALL across the continent makes it a bigger deal—it had to travel far—but...still. Like, it didn't feel like they were talking about it because it was significant smoke that travelled significantly far. It felt like they were talking about it because it was affecting them.
This is especially true this year. Because the smoke they're experiencing is from THEIR OWN fires. I'm not seeing Alberta or BC brought up in many articles, and I'm not seeing anyone online talking about us.
2019, 2020, AND 2021 all had very smokey periods in my city, because the fires were bad. Last year was the first summer since 2019 I've had that only had a few days of smoke—I was relieved to be able to have open windows and fresh air in the hot summer days.
The only year anyone talked about the fires was 2019, though.
1 of 4 bad years.
It sucks.
The "added context" being "they wanted to attempt necromancy" DOESN'T HELP
BREAKING THE CYCLE
Devo: I'm sorry for getting so dark before, it's not a side of me I like
Amber: that's okay, I actually kind of liked seeing the spicy side of you
Devo: oh, okay! well anyway I think we should kill Urchin
