She couldn’t forget Frank if she tried, and now here he is again, an MS3, with those big scared eyes of his looking at her pleading not to say how they know each other.

Yoyo had this little guy for a few hours and she’s ready to bite anyone who looks at him wrong. It’s hard not to be protective over someone who trusted you to cut into him.

“Did it all heal well?” She asks him when they’re alone in the parking lot post-shift, because her rotation at that clinic was over before his two week check-up.

“Better than I would have hoped,” he smiles. “Thank you.”

He’ll tell her later that he almost backed out on the day of the consult. It was just so much money and what if it didn’t turn out right. But Yoyo and the lead surgeon made him feel like they got it, and he never looked back.
