Here are a few sketches I did. I wanted to post them because, even though I didn't put much effort into them, I like how they turned out
The sketch with the butterflies, the text sounds better in Spanish than in English. The use of the word “call” is intentional, but I couldn't find a way to make it sound right
Both drawings featuring butterflies are related to the idea that in the universe where my characters exist, the call is much more important than in the normal Sky universe... however, I can't say in what sense, I'm not very good at worldbuilding
In this one, I wanted to draw Hearth (Serene’s father/mentor, for those who don’t know) as a little less friendly. As always, his gentle nature shines through around my characters, so it’s hard to imagine why others would see him as a bad person (aside from… his backstory, right?)
I think he’s less talkative and more distrustful around strangers, sometimes the way he looks at you is a little intimidating, which doesn’t help given his gaunt appearance, worn down by corruption, and his height. It’s really not intentional, he’s just very tired all the time.
... those who know him know that he never actually stops talking, especially when you ask him something about ancestors
