Calensk:

- Early to rise, between 4-5am. Doesn't linger in bed too much.

- Half of the time, kisses his wife on the head, before stepping out of bed.

- Spends little time to refresh himself in the bathroom. Running a comb through his hair and beard. Splashing some water on face. Brushing teeth.

- Makes himself and his wife a quick breakfast.

- Takes out lunch of the fridge, for work. His wife made it for him the day before.

- And he is off to work.

- Early to bed too. He has a pretty strict routine due to his time in the army (however short it was). After 8pm, if he hits the pillow, he immediately falls asleep. 

- Rarely dreams.

- Before bed, he always showers. The nature of his jobs usually leaves him sweaty, so it's a must. Showers with cold water for the sake of his wife (and his kids, in the past). When his wife is out of the house though, he also enjoys some boiling level hot water.

- Overall both his routines come down to essentials, no fancy stuff. He'd rather spend that time on something more important.

Sergiu:

- Life as a soldier screwed up his internal clock badly.

- Wakes up at 5am sharp. Tries to linger in bed sometimes, to try to tell his brain that it's ok,  to sleep in longer now. Doesn't really work that well…

- Also basic essentials in the bathroom. Showers in the morning, as well as in the evening. Doesn't mind whether the water is warm or cold.

- He doesn't eat breakfast in the morning. Used to eating the first meal of the day, only around 10-11am, so he just packs himself some lunch to work.

- Writes letters to Elisa, in the evenings. He isn't much of a romantic poet, but he tries his best to put down on paper, how much he loves and misses her. Also writes about his week and includes some cash to help her out a bit.

- Rarely, he will include a dry, compressed in a book flower, to the letter.

- Then he is off to have a quick meal, before bed.

- Shower, brushing teeth, nothing special.

- And he is off to bed. Hopefully to fall asleep quickly and not spend a few hours, laying in bed anxious, with a big hole in his chest, unable to sleep.

- His dreams are a mixed bag, usually filled with nightmares.

Sergiu and Elisa:

- Sergiu still wakes up early, but this time he has an excellent excuse to stay longer in bed. Cuddling with Elisa really helps his sleeping problems.

- Long showers together. Maybe a bit shorter in the morning, but in the evening… (..ofgjgj the water bill…)

- Sometimes Sergiu will brush Elisa's hair and vice versa.

- They make their breakfasts together. Lovey lovey, casually flirting while doing so. Sergiu slowly starts adjusting his eating times, so he can spend more time with her.

- Kiss goodbye before going to work.

- Making a quick meal before bed is just as fun for these two, as in the morning.

- Sometimes instead of reading, they will talk about anything and everything.

- And after that, it's just all cuddles and kisses. They end up falling asleep tangled together.

- He wakes up pretty easily with the sun, but he needs his alarm clock to ring, to drag him out

- There is no arguing with that.

- Mostly also just essentials in the morning. Though he prefers to shower before the day starts. Also spends some time washing his beard, he hates when it's dirty or uncombed.

- When walking out, passes his wife, who already made breakfast.

- Kiss wife thanks.

- Eats breakfast with the rest of the family, grabs lunch for work and he is out.

- Sometimes when he has time, will walk his kids to school.

Papers please characters cuddling headcannons:

Sergiu: Whenever he is cuddling with Elisa, he likes to be able to pepper small kisses all over her. Especially all over her head and face. Loves to comb her hair, with his fingers and kiss her forehead. And when she lays on his chest, he internally melts. He overall likes soft and tender cuddles. The soft touches, the closeness, he will hold Elisa so tight, from the overwhelming happiness. Once he stops feeling so insecure, about his scars and starts sleeping shirtless again, he finds himself enjoying the intimacy of skin to skin.

Elisa: She enjoys laying on Sergiu's chest, he is very soft, but moreover the sound of his heartbeat soothes her. It helps her remember that she is not alone anymore. Likes to warp her arms around him and rest her head against him. Peppers lil kisses all over his body. Loves to put Sergiu's head/face in her hands and watch this man melt into the touch. Inspector: This man lives to cuddle. Cuddling in bed, on the couch, in an armchair. He is always up for it. Likes to whisper sweet confessions and compliments into his partner's ear. Loves to tackle the people he loves into a giant hugs and then pick em up, and carry to the nearest couch/bed to cuddle. Neck and shoulder kisses are a must. He likes to tease and tickle with his beard.

Calensk: The man is so soft, he was made for cuddling. Big, soft and a little gruff man. His body is strong from all the manual jobs he worked, but is also covered by a nice, protective layer of fat. Every now and again he enjoys a nap and if he can nap with someone next to him, touching by the side or back, he will be a very happy man.

Inspector - He is up for anything - tame, deep, passionate, soft. He can be quite experimental, if his partner lets him. He wants to know what fits them best. As for himself, it depends on his mood. When he was younger he liked deep, passionate and needy, aching for touch and affection. Nowadays he is more tame, soft kisses are the usual. Sergiu/Elisa headcanons

The day they got reunited, neither of them could stop smiling, for the rest of the day (except for a brief terrorist attack).

Most lovey dovey plp in East Grestin, if not the whole Ariztocka.

They can't get officially married. There is a possibility, with Elisa not having all her papers and being illegally let in the country, that if they tried, she could get deported.

They would love to have a wedding, though.

Didn't stop them from consuming their love. Both of them felt the fear, anxiety of war and the separation, and now they have you live once to the fullest, mindset. 

They borrow each other's clothes a lot. It makes them feel better and safer, when separate at work.

Good morning and goodbye before work kisses are a must with these two. On the nose, cheek, forehead, top of the head…

Sergiu is protective of Elisa, but that doesn't mean anything, when she is fully capable of throwing a punch herself and it's Sergiu that ends up having to take her off of someone.

Segiu loves whispering sweet nothings to Elisa and combing her hair with his fingers.

Lots of hugs and cuddling with these two. At home, outside, they are too in love with each other to care if other people are watching.

For a long while after Elisa gets into Arstotzka, Sergiu gives her the tightest and longest hugs any chance he can get.

Sergiu was so proud to present his kid to them, like “look I made this, isn't it the most perfect thing in the world <3”.

First one is a boy and Elisa was very adamant about naming him the same as the Inspector. The Inspector was in absolute dismay, pleading with them, but Sergiu was like “can't help you mate, next time though for sure it's gonna be different”. Elisa just really liked the name. Before coming to Ariztocka she was unsure for the longest time, but after hearing Inspector's name, this one surprisingly grew on her.

His favorite season is summer. He always liked the warm weather and the smell of the fields. But it's even better for him now, because he can go lay in grass with Elisa, and drink up their love and the sweetness of the summer day.

Sometimes after he drinks, he gets really upset. This doesn't happen when he is out with friends, but every now and again a glass with Elisa, turns sour for him.

His favorite flowers are poppies. He liked seeing them when he marched through Kolechia. And he liked them even more, after the Inspector told him what their meaning was. He thinks they fit him.

He is much stronger than he looks. It makes sense with him being a soldier, but you wouldn't get that by just looking at him.

It surprised Elisa a bit, when she saw this thin as a stick soldier, carrying around heavy crates, as if it was nothing. He didn't know it at the time, but nowadays he likes to subtly flex his strength on her. He also likes to pick her up, from time to time. He does it so effortlessly, it never fails to impress her.

Once early on, the guards were supposed to help with moving some heavy boxes at the checkpoint. Calensk knew they weighed a ton, so when he saw this scrawny guard going in to pick some up, he hurried over to help. But before he could get to him, the man just picked it up like it was nothing. Calensk looked at him befuddled for a bit. He grew a little respect for him that day.

When he was a kid, his family struggled financially a lot.

He had 3 siblings. He was the 3rd one in line.

Elisa/Sergiu headcannons pt2:

Elisa loves using Sergiu as a pillow, when she reads a book. Sergiu usually takes this opportunity to show little affections, like brushing her hair with his fingers or small kisses here and there.

Sergiu's pet names for Elisa: love, precious, beautiful.

Elisa's pet names for Sergiu: sweetheart, darling, sweety, cutie.

Inspector helps Sergiu to pick out flowers for his girl. He teaches him the flower language and he is very eager to learn.

He thinks so much about the way Elisa smiles and laughs at work.

When they are out together, they hold hands all the time. There is no force separating them.

They are both distressed by thunder. But now, they at least find comfort in each other's company.

When Elisa was pregnant, at one point, she was reading a book on Sergiu:

“Sergiu.” She looks up at her lover and he looks at her, with his full attention. She gently grabs his hand and guides it to her stomach, as the baby kicks.

Sergiu lets out a squeal of joy and amazement.

He wouldn't recover after this for a while, he is just so amazed. Kept his hands on her stomach for a few hours after that, to feel that life they created.

Sergiu talks to Elisa's belly in the evenings, mumbling sweet things.

He was worrying the whole pregnancy. It's something he always wanted, but he worries if they are going to be good parents, if he will be able to provide.

He goes so much to Calensk and Inspector, for reassurance.

Elisa is worried too, but tries to swallow it and help Sergiu with his worries:

Sergiu turns around to embrace Elisa too. These words do little to calm his worries, but they are enough for now.

Elisa sometimes goes to his coworkers for advice, too.

She doesn't really get weird cravings during her pregnancy, but two months in, she can't stand the smell of bread.

When the pregnancy was in the most advanced stages, Sergiu was all around the place, preparing the kids room, to get Elisa to the hospital, the works.

He worries so much that she will go into labor, when he is at work.

(thankfully it just happens in the middle of the night)

Labour is quite long, around 18 hours. He was forced to go to work in the middle of it. He thankfully managed to ask Inspector's wife and uncle to please watch over her,  when he can't.

So unfocused and restless at work.

When he is done, he runs so fast back.

He invited Calensk and Inspector to come over. They barely kept up with him.

When Sergiu's first kid smiles at him for the first time, he almost dies.

He regularly falls asleep with the newborn in his arms, on the couch.

When they eventually have a girl, Sergiu lets her do make-up on him, paint nails, everything. Sometimes he doesn't have time to clean it all out before work. It always causes some small giggles from Calensk and Inspector, but he doesn't mind, it's all in good fun.
