5x09: Blood Money

Observations: "Speaking of Hank’s realization setting events in motion, beside the reappearance of Carol the terrified neighbor, more visual parallels (or rather, juxtapositions) could be drawn between the moment after he comes out of the bathroom and the new flashforward. Hank walks down the Lynchian hallway and stares out the window exactly like Walt in the opening. There’s also the two shots that position Carol and then Hank in the background. In both cases they’re about to be mindblown!"

5x09: Blood Money

Observations: "The flashforward shows how Walt’s journey has come full circle and beyond. Hank’s realization and the aftermath have set in motion events that lead to Walt’s bleak 52nd birthday, with nothing left other than the name “Heisenberg” provoking fear. This is Walt’s third birthday in two years, each time with less guests. In all three Walt is pretty much detached from the party, but this time there’s literally only one guest there to welcome him, that is, his legacy in ruins, or rather the name “Heisenberg” sprayed on the wall."

4x09: Bug

Observations: In 2x04, Walt’s words hurt Jesse so deeply that he comes close to strangling him to death. And this is not the only time Walt’s driven Jesse to the edge; in 4x09 “Bug” they engage in a brutal fight which shares some shot angles and visuals with the one in this episode, you might also remember the hilariously serious one in 1x03 and then in 4x12, when it comes down to Brock’s poisoning, Jesse puts a gun to Walt’s head.
