John finally got knocked down! Samantha came in like a storm he wasn’t expecting. There was no way he could resist her sweet but feisty nature. She was his drug that he had to keep going back for one more dose.
What do you do when it’s late and you need a ride?
Derrick and Emily were not expecting on their first day back to be met with such a gruesome scene.
A serial killer is on the prowl, hunting on the Tampa streets. Leaving bodies in public displays as he goes along.
The City of Tampa grows more frenzied each night hearing about “The Hacker”. He is loose on their streets. Who will be next?
As the team searches for the killer, they discover even more victims. They are racing against time to find and save Sara alive.
When one member of the team catches the killer’s eye, can they keep that team member safe?
Can Emily connect the pieces before it’s too late?
WARNING: This book contains mature scenes, disturbing situations, strong language, and violence.
Goodreads Review:
4 Star Review: “I have to admit that, when I received this ARC, I was a little bit afraid I would easily get bored since this is not my usual cup of tea, but I’m very gladly I made up my mind.
It was like watching an episode of Criminal Minds or something like that. There are some parts more related to the main plot, other parts that deepen the characters. I really liked the whole team: intrigued by Emily’s power, excited for the ship/non-ship between Tammy and James, softened by Samantha and John’s love story. The villain is convincing and scary as he should be. The whole story is intriguing, easy to follow and full of twists. Maybe I would love a less obvious ending, but probably i’m just a drama lover so this doesn’t really matter.
What I didn’t appreciated were the last chapters. After the main plot is concluded there are these chapters that I found useless and a little bit boring. I understand the will to tell more about the characters, but they’re pointless and I would appreciate this more without them.
By the way, I appreciate this a lot and I would totally recommend!” eliseinwanderlust
