The silence was stifling and mere minutes went by.
Curiosity got the better of the young Prince and he slowly raised his gaze towards the boy before him, studying his facial features. When both of their parents had departed, it seemed all of the warmth that they radiated left just as abruptly as they entered and leaving the two of them with each other’s unfamiliar presence, alone. The heir didn’t mind the company, but the surprise visit was still taking him awhile to comprehend.
How did this boy feel about it, though?
The other’s parents were insistent about them getting to know each other, yet something wasn’t sitting right about the whole thing with how quiet he’s been. It almost felt too much like the meetings his own father would partake to talk about duties and arrangements--
Still, eyes faltered downward for a moment and returning to look at the brunette with renewed courage. “Uh... Ignis, right?” Noctis started, offering a smile. “Your name sounds really cool.”
Realizing a moment later that that wasn’t the best place to start, he quickly added, “What... do you like to do for fun?”
