Despite all of the scary things I’ve ever fought on Dragon Age like darkspawn, spirits, dragons, ogres etc and all the nerve wrecking places I travelled to, nothing in the history of Thedas sends shivers through me like the Abandoned Orphanage in the alienage in Denerim does. I mean for one all you hear are babies crying, children screaming and the sound of fire blazing but THEN this:
“Do you hear me Ser Wilhem, Ser Wilhem? I am falling Ser Wilhem, Ser Wilhem, today I’m a maiden Ser Wilhem, Ser Wilhem But I’m dying Ser Wilhem, Ser Wilhem, in pain.”
When I first heard that I was like “oooooookay.” And to top off the scariness, you go further into the building and hear this bloodchilling poem.
“One, two Maric’s run through! Three, four the Kingdom’s at war! Eight, nine and now you die!”
Followed by evil children laughter. I swear the first poem only rustled my jimmies a bit but that second one had my squeezing a near by stuffed animal and whimpering.
