On November 28, 2018, WildStar shut down. At that point, I've been playing for about 2-3 years with my husband (then my boyfriend) and our friends. Seven years later, it still occupies a special place in my heart. There were many characters we RPed as we played, but none so haunting to me as Avell Lunarswift and Sylas Frostmoon, the Aurin couple that my husband and I RPed together. I've drawn them over the years because their story remains unfinished and, sometimes, I would think about them and remember the game that's gone but I could never ever forget.

Sylas and Avell in the game's wedding outfits is wishful thinking on my part. Maybe there's an alternate universe wherein WildStar didn't shut down and we'd still be playing to arrive at this point in our characters' stories. But for now, it floats in the ether, locked away inside my heart.

This one started out as silly little wishful thinking for our OCs (mostly for my OC). Set a few years after the main story of Stormsteel has concluded, Gideon and Aulis have retired to a colony, and both are living under secret identities. Since Dorothy, their adopted daughter, has gone to the other side of the world to participate in Havoc Hour, life has become just a little more quiet than they're used to.

But things are about to change when, one day, on the way home (probably from the grocery), Gideon encounters two boys who seem to have accidentally bumped into him. Of course, it doesn't escape the former captain of the Vendetta that he's been pickpocketed by the twin brats. He confronts the two at an alley and instead of punishing them, he tells the boys what they did wrong in their modus and even gives them tips.

I haven't really thought about the entire story yet, but the orphaned boys will eventually warm up to Gideon and Aulis, who later adopt them into the Larkin family.

Naturally, Aulis is excited to become a dad (mum?) again. And this time around, Gideon gets to enjoy being a parent without the war looming over their heads.

Or maybe Aulis is just having one big dream after taking another one of Dr. Klemens' dubious medicines.

This is why Stormsteel will always be my happy place.
