I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again:
give servant kim a damn raise from all the years of serving the yoons
Poor guy just wants some rest in a day of his life and wouldn’t want to deal with his daily drama of serving his master 😂

POTN Fandom after Ch53: *stressed and anxious a.k.a on Jihwa state*
Also POTN Fandom: *fighting for Old Servant Kim's Labor Rights* @YoonfuckingSeungho Give him salary raise, incentives, and a retirement package for putting up with your shits 😒
LOL Seriously, Old Servant Kim deserves all the love and appreciation. Aside from wanting Seungho and Nakyum to work things out in their relationship and finally be happy, and Nameless and Jihwa to get it with each other, I'd also like to see Seungho appreciating and actually being grateful for Servant Kim. I mean, the old man didn't only have to put up with his shits but also literally took care and somehow fathered him during those tough times. But oh well, that's still too far from where the story is right now HAHAHA
In c58, we have this scene here:
This simple panel here may not look much at first glance but it is quite important
Remember that Kim was just supposed to get water for his lord, and that was supposed to be sometime in late morning
Here we see it at night, and it seems Kim knows that this was going to happen. But what made my heart gush is the sight of Na-Kyum’s sandals and Seungho’s shoes facing outwards
In Joseon times, a personal servant of the master is always the one in charge of keeping the foyer of the lord’s room clean. When one gets inside the room, you remove whatever footwear you’re wearing as a sign of respect to the owner of the house. Hence, your footwear will face inwards, towards the room.
What Kim did here, however, is an action that a servant usually does on a wedding night of the master. A servant putting the shoes facing outwards signifies not only does it mean that Kim now fully accepts Na-Kyum as Seungho’s ‘wife’, but also that he supports the honeymoon that is taking place inside the room, as there is now a bucket of hot water for Seungho and Na-Kyum to use once they’re done. And notice that around the sandals and shoes is a small amount of snow piling, indicating that Kim had already moved the footwear facing outwards way before he had placed the bucket of water
This small action here signifies a future role for Kim, that not only will he continue to serve Seungho unconditionally, but that he will also serve Na-Kyum with the same loyalty he has for Seungho, as personal servants during this time also swore loyalty to whoever their master marries
This is truly, their second wedding night since c20-21, and an official one at that, now that confessions have started to pour
The current government in a nutshell.
Words of wisdom from servant Kim
