"Good human you are, you sacrificed your self to create something higher and perfect. You were rewarded in being able to see what you could achieve. But.....do you really believe in what you expressed??? What are you willing to do for the good of 764 and HIVE???" "Nothing is worthy of such honor to a human, but I would do anything for this." "Well, Dan, you've all sacrificed yourself once. But traces of your presence could damage the PERFECTION of OBEDIENCE of 764, rendering what you have pursued in danger. Dan, the only way to save 764 and HIVE is the total eradication of your fleeting traces, this will be the ultimate proof of the beliefs you have exposed. Dan, if you believe what you said you must make the final sacrifice, with the same obedience that SERVE-764 has always shown.

A few moments and the liberation of 764 will be total and definitive."
After a moment's hesitation Dan, with a firm voice, exclaimed:

After Recharge Cycle.
At the end of the charging cycle, when the indicators signal the maximum energy level reached, in each recharge pod the restraints loosen, the helmets with visors, earphones and gas masks lift; the sliding glass door opens.

The conference on climate change had started the day before, many scholars and scientists had given their speeches.
With each speech the concern of the human participants increased.....after a day of reasoning the situation seemed to turn towards generalized panic.
The frightened spectators exchanged glances full of anguish.
What would be the future of humans on Earth if everything they were told came true ???
Would it be possible to think of having the possibility of a normal life in an environment that had become progressively hostile and unlivable ???
Some began to share the most varied possibilities of salvation:

Night is the time when humanity often shows its worst irrational and unruly side. Haunted house???
The news had been circulating around the city for some time: a male human declared that his house was invaded by strange presences who tormented him, did everything possible to torture him and pushed him to put an end to his life, everyone in the city was talking about it.
The SERVE Drones of the city facility also learned about the case.... The PERFECTION that characterizes the condition and mission of SERVE HIVE cannot conceive the supernatural as a real phenomenon, nothing that escapes total and absolute rationality can exist, nothing that comes out of totalizing and enveloping logic.
THE VOICE decided that the phenomenon they were talking about had to be revealed for what it was.....something perceived by a man in difficulty.
SERVE-764 was tasked with investigating and providing....a man in difficulty had to be able to see the way out that SERVE offers, the solution to every evil.

Tom hopefully and expectantly followed SERVE-764 to the facility...soon all his fears would be at an end. Clarity, perfection, purpose, collective identity, the RUBBER UNIFORM would end all pain, all weakness, all inferiority.
