Lifting-off-the-ground hug: BokuIwaAka
For @stacysmash
It’s been a long two months away. With a dry soul and weary bones, Keiji waits impatiently in the line of slow moving passengers pulling bags from overhead compartments and tugging children into their arms. Children who now of course are asleep, having worn themselves out from screaming the entire flight he supposes. He’s tempted to wake them, just to be petty.
He finally reaches the plane exit door, gritting his teeth against a cramp starting in his leg. A yawn pulls his jaw down low and he can’t wait to be back in his own bed.
It feels like a long walk to the baggage claim and he blinks slower and slower until he’s nearly walking with his eyes shut.
“Keiji!”
The call of his name in deep tones has his eyes opening again, looking to where Haijime stands, one hand in his pocket, the other waving. Keiji increases his pace, drops his briefcase and flings himself into Haijime’s arms.
He’s only there a matter of seconds before he hears his name again, louder and more boisterous. Before either he or Haijime can move, they’re both hefted into the air in Koutarou’s ridiculously beefy arms.
“We missed you so much!” Koutarou says, joy clear in his voice.
Recovered from his shock and slight vertigo, Keiji smiles at Haijime’s flustered protests. “I missed you both too.”
