Well, rumor has it that some of the competitors might have latent force sensitivity. And wouldn’t it be great to discover that before some Sith? Not to mention, some Jedi might want to shut this down (given that some fights are to the death) and the only way to really do that is to be there and find out about it. Sith- Bloody pit fights. Violence. Carnage. What a wonderful thing to watch! Not to mention those rumors of force sensitive individuals competing. Plus there’s an opportunity to perhaps even buy a fighter or two. (Please note that there will be no official “trading” of fighters and anything of the sort will be done at the players discretion.) Spectator- Cheer on a friend or that good looking fighter! There is definitely always room for people to just watch, with any interactions that you can think of. We only ask that during actual RP fights (which aren’t very long) that you keep commentary down slightly. “My character is a Jedi/Sith that wants to fight in these. How do I go about that?” Officially, on an IC basis, no Force users are allowed. But with that said, we are totally encouraging anyone to join in as a fighter. In fact, we’d love it for Force users to disguise themselves and hop on in. Just keep in mind that if you ICly use the Force, you will be disqualified and banned from future fights. But as long as it’s hidden, then go for it! “To the death? But I don’t want to kill my character!” Then don’t! To “to the death” part is something that will rarely, if ever, happen, and only at the discretion of the player both with the character being killed -and- the player of the character doing the killing. In other words, you really can’t die without permission. Get the shit beat out of you, yes (as that’s part of the point) but killed, no. If you want to kill off a character during this, then please make sure that’s really what you want to do. And we’ll do our best to make sure it’s an amazing send-off. Special note: We are aware that other guilds are doing similar, but we personally promise to never schedule ours on the same night. Our community is definitely big enough to support all, and we will definitely be attending the other similar events.

Saturday, April 26th @ 7PM EST - We've even fine tuned the fight system a little more so it (hopefully) won't take so long for folks to be able to get their fight on.

Across Imperial, Republic, and neutral space, there are whispers. There are ragged posters hastily placed up on walls where authorities might not see them too quickly. Information regarding pit fights-- and not the legal ones, the ones sponsored by the hutts. Oh no, there is a possibility of death… but there is also glory and money. Out in the Dune Sea of Tatooine, violence and mayhem await. So do riches and fame-- as long as you’re comfortable being well known in these underworld circles… But on the other hand..

Authorities on Tatooine are attempting to crack down on the newest trend hitting the lawless sectors of the Dune Sea and concern is high after fatalities have been discovered as a byproduct of the newly founded bloodsport. "No Limits" pit fighting has been spreading across the planet and now through the galaxy; a gathering of fighters intent on beating one another into submission for fame, prizes and sometimes just for the hell of it. The illegal sport has also attracted all manner of gamblers to the planet and the loan sharks have followed. Attempts to crack down on the sport have been unsuccessful thus far as fighters and spectators are both quick to retreat from the area at the first sign of trouble and with few arrests made, none of them seem to be the people responsible for organizing and promoting the event. Local militia and citizenry are concerned that the escalation of violence will only draw out more unsavory characters and that eventually that crime rates and even drug abuse will pick up as violent contenders and fight-goers stick around. If you have any information to offer concerning the Pit Fights, authorities are offering credit rewards for anything that might lead to successful arrests. We urge you all to stay safe, and stay alert.

APRIL 26th, 7:00 EASTERN TIME Once a month, out in the Dune Sea on Tatooine, these fights will be held. Therefore, your character will have to have finished Coruscant or Dromund Kaas. If you’re below the level for Tatooine, please contact an organizer via engin beforehand (Lesatho or Dams) and we’ll make sure you have an escort out there. These fights will be RP-combat, using dice rolls and a modified combat system. Duels -are- acceptable, but both parties must agree beforehand. Don’t flag yourself for PVP. We might be on an RP server, but that doesn’t mean we won’t get griefed if flagged. If you plan on fighting via PVP, the dual system must be utilized. For each fight, you will be put in a group with one of the organizers-- Wilah on impside, Parakem on pubside. That’s to ensure the dice rolls are witnessed and there isn’t any cheating. We trust you all, but this keeps things from entering any dramatic territory. If you require something special, such as a specific fight, please contact the organizers beforehand. Things still took a bit too long, and we want to make sure everyone can get in their fight within ninety minutes or so. While “normal” RP fights use dice for both attack and defense, we’ve pared it down big time for these particular fights.
