[ Tommy stares quietly at the figure in the doorway, spoon still sticking out of his mouth. He doesn't bother to remove it, just stares before flipping a middle finger at the figure. Techno snorts in return, rolling his eyes, huffing.
"And to what do I owe the pleasure of the gremlin child?" Techno asks.
Tommy huffs, taking another bite of (terrible) cereal. "decided to keep da- Phil company whilst you were sleeping the winter, bitch," Tommy informs him, "also I'm like twenty one, Techno, not a fucking child."
Techno only responds with a lengthy "bruh" before the sound of sizzling eggs starts. Ah, normal, actual breakfast. Oh well.
"Your cereal sucks, by the way," Tommy says.
"You can literally just get some better stuff from uh, Wilbur or somethin'. He has better cereal, right? Why not go bother him?" Techno points out. Tommy huffs.
"Because I don't want to hear about him and Big Q," Tommy says.
In actuality, he likes spending time with Techno, but he won't say that, just like he won't admit a million things. He just hopes the piglin will figure it out, somehow telepathically pick on the fact Tommy enjoys being around him specifically and not question it.
Techno sets down a plate in front of Tommy after a while lapsed into silence, another for himself, and removes the half-eaten bowl of shitty cereal.
"You didn't have to-" Tommy starts, only to be cut off.
"That cereal was a month out of date, you're not eatin' it, Tommy. Now stop complainin' and eat your meats, you're still scrawny as an enderman and that is not a compliment," Techno says, something of care slipping past the indifference.
Tommy doesn't point it out. Better than walking in on Phil giving someone else terrible mental health advice, after all.
An awkward breakfast with his brother.
He missed this.
Techno is the first to speak after they start eating, "so when did you acquire a child and please don't tell me you're a single dad because that's a bit concernin'."
Tommy nearly chokes.
"How much would you kill me if I said I was followed home and didn't have the heart to tell her no? Like, don't get me wrong, Blade, I'm super cool but I'm heartless," Tommy replies.
"Human kid with no other humans around, I'm guessin', and you didn't want her to end up like you did?" Techno offers, a brow raised, before continuing, "bruh, that's a real Wilbur move there, maybe bein' adopted doesn't stop you from havin' the Philza 'I must adopt every child I see that's pathetic enough' Minecraft instinct."
"Can you go back to sleep?" Tommy says instead.
Techno rolls his eyes, smiling, "and miss your super cool birthday party? Nope." ]
