before her lay a flock, tightly woven within their encampment. a collision of reds, browns and greens caught her eye as movement brought her full attentions to the construction of the, would be, portal. elaestra held no interest in it, but rather, the assumed leader of this herd. he possessed powers so great she would have found him with ease ---- should it have been less obvious.
the elf stood far and yet, the glow of demonic eyes could be seen; the shape of them nearly consumed. she found their draw enticing. this monster, one she thought completely unfathomable, could hand her the key to a very enlightening future or to a very swift death. spine crept, a shiver running down its length, unconsented. and, just then, her first steps were taken.

all too soon has she reached their crowd, noticed or otherwise by the horde, settled comfortably in her silence. at the parting of ways, she appears but a hands length closer to her destination.
