🌟 A Birthday Blessing 🌟
Some birthdays are remembered for the cake, the balloons, or the party. But Ate Nena Rius chose to make her 70th birthday unforgettable for an entirely different reason — one that pointed all glory back to God.
She celebrated her birthday earlier with family and friends, but instead of asking for personal gifts, she made one heartfelt request:
“Please give in monetary form — not for me, but for my outreach for Persons with Disabilities.”
Her goal? To bless PWDs in Las Piñas who have been unable to receive help from the LGU. Together with her ever-supportive husband Allan Rius and their family, they turned this vision into reality.
I was invited to give an encouragement speech at the outreach, and I left feeling more blessed than when I came. I saw how God’s love flows through Ate Nena’s hands — in church, to relatives, and to strangers outside church walls.
Her life is a reminder that generosity isn’t just about giving; it’s about returning every blessing to the One who gave it.
