❝ Then come with me to Malkuth. I’d welcome you with OPEN arms. ❞
“ Thank you, Guy ”
It was only about eight months since she was thrown out of the country she loved dearly, the people she tried to take care of, a man she planned on marrying to help rule Kimlasca-Lanvaldear and bring peace and equality, and her father she loved dearly. All because she was not of royal blood, and the cruel part was that she didn’t even know that she was stolen from her real parents and take the place of the real Natalia Luzu Kimlasca-Lanvaldear. The only thing she knew was that her name was Meryl Oakland and her mother Sylvia Oakland was deceased and her father’s whereabouts is unknown. Being branded as a traitor, she had to make the toughest decision of of either leaving her home or being killed because she was raised to be Natalia.
She was unsure if she left her home because she was scared to die or believe she could prove her innocence that she was tricked as well. Either way, she fled Kimlasca and found herself in the country known as Hod, body weak from lack of food and rest, it was when Eugenie, the noble of the Gardios family, who found her and took her in. The woman didn’t press Natalia for details, but all Natalia had given the woman a name and that she was chased out of her country. Being fed and clothed, Natalia had finally slept well for the first time ever since she fled her home. In the morning, Eugenie had given Natalia a maid’s clothing and told her that if she didn’t mind serving the House of Gardios, she can live here and doesn’t have to worry about finding food or shelter anymore. Natalia couldn’t recall the last time she cried so hard in her life.
It took quite a while before Natalia adjusted to her new life, and sometimes she would still have those nightmares of being found and being taken back to Kimlasca-Lanvaldear for execution. The other servants were all friendly and welcoming, which is nice since she never been a servant before, though she found it interesting how the servants actively talked about how attractive Gailardia was. A sigh escape her lips as she listened to the girls talk about Gailardia once more, she didn’t want to bring up the fact that she was going to bring tea to his study in fear that they would request her to ask the man something odd. She didn’t want to upset him since it was his mother who took her in and saved her, so she was truly indebted to the Gardios House.
On her left hand carefully balance the tray of tea, while the blue silk ribbon still cling onto her wrist as she moved her other hand and knocked on the wooden door before calling out, ❝Excuse me, Gailardia? May I come in? I brought your tea like you requested.❞
➸ THE sun hanged above them in the blue beautiful sky, the warmth from the sun reminded them that it was summer. Life continues on despite of their increasing efforts to keep both countries from going to war. She believed in her heart that she could make a difference if she went along on their journey. Struck by the harsh reality, Natalia had to understand that despite her efforts of being kind to the citizens, offering food or giving them clothes, food or money it still didn’t help the problem at large.
➸ A sigh escaped her lips, as she leaned against the tree’s trunk, watching everyone interacting with one another. They moved like the leaves in the wind, gentle, and in harmony, and she was the bystander watching their dance before her. She was not a good cook, she’s gullible, plus she is a stranger to almost everyone but Guy and Luke. Yet the interactions between Luke and her always turned badly, she had decided to stay off to the side and watch from afar. Closing her eyes, she tried to focus on the sound of the wind, the chatter of her companions and the sun warming her.
