She was thankful that the attractive blond man wearing a leather jacket had repeated his order once more, since she was too busy getting lost his eyes and his face to pay any attention to what he was order. When their eyes locked onto one another, she had swore that she was feeling what those books cheesy romantic books talk about. The spark, everything become more beautiful and what not when you find someone you’re attracted to. Her own face was burning up when the man had spoken.
Not paying attention how he called the size, a smile spread across her face as she hoped to reassure him there was nothing to apologize, she nodded her head as she spoke up once more.
“It’s alright, no need to apologize. One cappuccino coming right up.”
Reaching for the slightly bigger white cup and set it on a small saucer. Opening the small little fridge underneath she grabbed a gallon of milk and pour some of it’s contents in the silver cup and started the machine to let it steam. Next her fingers had grabbed some espresso and prepped it before returning back towards the counter. Using the time to ring him up while the everything was cooling off slightly.
“That’ll be a dollar twenty five.”
Natalia wondered how on earth she was able to keep her body under control despite how fast her heart was racing.
THOUGH HIS gaze had dropped in embarrassment it flitted back up again, almost GLUED to the beautiful stranger as he watched her make the coffee. it was an odd, new feeling– the increased awareness of every part around him, the slight increase of the pulse thrumming against his wrist, the air of BEAUTY that seemed to surround her and pull in his attention, not letting it escape for a moment.
❛ thanks. ❜
a genuine smile appeared on his lips without him realizing, as if the moment alone made him happy. the cyclist found himself praying that there would be no traffic today, as he no longer planned to leave the small coffee shop DIRECTLY in hopes to get to his next appointment early. no, he found the urge to LINGER ╾ in hopes of starting a conversation, probably╾ growing irresistible.
if she caught him staring, he didn’t notice.
❛ right╾ ❜
gloved hands dig into his pockets in search of a wallet. he blinked a few times, the friendly smile on his lips falling into a straight line of ( almost silly ) concentration, as his hands came up with empty results. he laughed again, awkwardly ( this encounter couldn’t be making him THAT nervous, right? ), his appearance holding an INVITING sort of air all the same.
❛ ahh, one me a sec, sorry. these wallets are so hard to find sometimes, you know? you have a really nice place here, by the way. ❜
guy’s compliment holds a non-intrusive, friendly curiosity as he produces the wallet from the correct pocket, laying the change carefully on the counter in front of her.
Giving the man some time to find his wallet, she took the cappuccino and set it before glancing towards him and asked, “Apologies, I forgot to ask if this was for here or to go.”
Depending what he said, if it was to go she would pour it in one of those go cups and didn’t bother designing the drink, though if he said he was going to stick around, she would pour the drink in a bigger cup and use the extra foam and started to draw a little rabbit. Moving the drink towards the counter in front of him just in the time to see him still digging while striking up a conversation with her.
A chuckle escape her lips, though she decided that she’ll pay it for him if he couldn’t find his wallet since something told her that this man was unique and it was drawing her towards him. Before she got the chance to tell him not to worry about it, he produce his wallet and paid her.
“Thank you, for both the payment and the compliment of my little cafe. Not a lot of people notice this little cafe since I’m tucked between bigger businesses and there is another popular coffee shop a few blocks away. It’s nice getting new friendly faces in here, usually it’s my regulars that would come in. Hopefully I’ll be seeing you around more often.”
