Bakura raised their eyebrows at Kat's suggestion. They took the time to think about it.

"Oh. Maybe that's why they want us gone."

There was a sound on their right, something crashing on the ground. Bakura turned around and at first just saw a few books on the ground. They had fallen from the shelf apparently. Then the thief looked up and saw a new word on the wall.

Bakura rolled their eyes. "Virgin." Then they snorted as they turned to Kat. "I bet it's a nun."

Bakura shrugged a bit. "Not my fault if an abandoned house is a good place to have fun. Go haunt a church or something if you can't handle that."

Bakura nodded as they crossed their arms.

"True. I shouldn't be so harsh about this. However…"

The thief frowned as they walked to the walk. They raised a hand and touched one of the letters. It left a red stain on their fingers. They brought it to their nose, then licked it.

"Tch."

Bakura shook their head as they turned back to Kat.

"I knew it. It's not even real blood. It's tomato." The thief looked around like trying to search for the sign of a spirit. "No wonder no one takes ghosts seriously anymore."

I LOVE to cook, but I hate doing dishes, so we tend to make really big meals and live off of leftovers for a few days in order to do as few dishes as possible lol.

I have an absurdly sized tea hoard, but I don't even know how much I actually have because it's scattered between different boxes of my stuff (for some reason).

I've moved three times in the last two years, and we're about to move again. 😭 I really hate moving.

Pretty much my entire immediate family has anxiety but I'm the only one that's ever gotten it treated.

I was bitten by a zebra once at a drive-through safari thing, but I'm not afraid of zebras.

My parents still don't know that my husband and I eloped 7 months before they think we got married. Not sure that we're ever going to tell them that. 🤫

You're a fun and amazing person. You totally let me barge into your anons repeatedly with my OC until I felt comfortable revealing myself and, in doing so, not only helped me rediscover a fun hobby from my youth, but a fun way to explore and flesh out my character more.

You've also helped me discover my new fave post-Battle City HC for a returned Yamima with your Mariku. It's so interesting and fun, and I wouldn’t have thought of it on my own.

For the ask game: 22 with TKB

Hello hello !! Ty for the ask <3

22. If you're a fic reader, what's something you like in fics when it comes to this character? Something you don't like?

With the types of fics I read, I tend to end up with like… TKB with Yami B’s memories post-canon, or the periodic Ancient Egypt AU. I think with TKB’s character I do end up liking him having Yami B’s memories, that continuity between them, etc etc. I also enjoy TKB rehabilitation/redemption arcs but like. Hm.

My absolute favorite rehabilitation/redemption for him is a sort of “I get that Atem didn’t do it himself but that doesn’t mean Kul Elna didn’t happen and I’m still going to point that out with a passion” and like. If incorporating Yami B memories maybe he doesn’t get why people think he was wrong but he understands that, say, he did hurt Ryou, and maybe regrets hurting Ryou but not doing the stuff for his village. Maybe regrets the deal with Zorc since it took him away from that and into world destruction. Top tier character stuff.

I guess the opposite then could tie into what I Don’t Particularly search out immediately… I’m like, very easygoing when reading fic, so I don’t think I’ve run into too much I particularly dislike (or I’ve struck it from my memory lmao) but if TKB like. Bends too much on his ideals. There is a fine balance for him and if he does go the forgiveness or tentative peace route, I prefer it be with his past ideals in tact.

Of course, I’m fine with reading character development on TKB in that regard, and if it goes more bending than I’d prefer, I want the writing to make me believe it! I think that’s what I want in fic. To believe the character changes people put on them :)

"Oi!" Bakura protested as they massaged their abused head.

The thief rolled their eyes, annoyed, but aware that Kat had a point here.

"Yeah, yeah… Well. You're the one who knows stuff about souls. My only knowledge to free a spirit bound to a place is for them to do their vengeance or to open the door to the Darkness, free a Dark God and end the world… I don't suppose you will agree to the latter, so…" Bakura shrugged. "We can't do a thing. Let's just leave then."
