Studying for my first NutriSci quiz, which is tomorrow in approximately 6 hours. I surprisingly really enjoy summer session, although the pace at which we move is ridiculously quick (6 weeks for a 15 week course, basically)...it's like a nice combination of the joys of learning combined with an overall fun schedule. It helps that I'm taking something I find very interesting, though.
So I'm finally settled in and unpacked and using my desk for the first time. It's bizarre but I love the apartment so much and my room and it feels like home already. Perhaps it's because I haven't been here that long, but the little things about apartment life--tying up the trash and taking it out, and stretching new plastic bags to fill the rims of the trash cans; washing dishes in the warmth of the midday sun coming through our kitchen window; lounging in various positions on the futon and then falling asleep shortly after; cleaning up the bathroom and frequently tidying any and everything up; having guests over and taking care of them--are so charming, albeit I was a bit nervous at first, thinking that I would be too lazy to properly go about them. It's working my capacity to love, but I'm enjoying the stretching/growing process, despite the sometimes-difficulties.
And, per usual, there's so much more to say but it appears that K is coming over in the morning because she insists on making me breakfast before my first exam, much to my great disapproval (but so thankful for friends like this; an entirely different topic for a different time, I suppose), but it's time to sleep and hopefully I can catch 4.5 hours of z's...yeah, school is definitely back in session, even if it's a lighter load than usual.
But I can't say I'm not enjoying it :).
