At first, it took the vessel a moment to recognise where he was. After a long journey in previous days, the soft bed and duvet of the inn felt smothering to wake up to, in place of the hard ground and blankets in the tent he was used to, if not the open sky.
The knock came again and C’Maru realised that a previous knock had woken him from a sleep that hadn’t been entirely restful.
Slipping out of bed and stretching, tail arching up behind him and stood on tiptoes to get the biggest, most satisfying stretch, finally the Miqo’te padded softly over to the door. Scratching idly at his bare chest, he made sure his soft sleeping shorts weren’t slipping before he pulled open the door.
“Yes? Is something wrong?”
