"Hide" and "Hunt" for whoever your heart desires! Glad to see you're back writing ❤️
Thanks!
I'll answer this about Seti, my trooper.
Hide: She was formerly a Sith apprentice to some insignificant lord that got killed by another years later. The Sith sent her off to the Dark Temple to get a necklace that would help increase his abilities, but Seti got possessed and never returned. She spent MONTHS there. Her Sith Lord never looked for her. The voices whispered so many ugly truths about herself and lies as well. She didn't know who she was or what she was. The only way she broke out of it was chasing after an imperial soldier that managed to escape. She was far enough it broke the hold on her. And she left the empire.
She can't tell anyone she used to be a Sith. Part of it is shame. Part of it is fear. And a larger part is that she worked so hard to create a new image, a new person of herself, she didn't want anything tainting it.
Hunt: Which leads to what is chasing after her heels. It's the dark side. The Sith version of her. The dark side is addicting and corruptive. It would be so easy. It's why she hasn't interacted with the force or used her abilities since she left Dromund Kaas all those years ago.
@frauleiiin this is for you! I'll answer those questions about Seti Lark and Captain Sunni Marilo. The questions are from this game.
Alone: How does your OC deal with loneliness? Have they ever been completely alone before? How do they act when there's no one around to see them?
Seti: Seti knows what it means to be alone. She had no friends on Korriban. The few alien acolytes quickly turned on each other to survive and it felt like there was a 5% chance for a human to actually want to talk to an alien. Her parents refused to take her back when she escaped the academy. And her features (not rare just uncommon in some parts of the galaxy) were frightening enough it kept people at a distance.
Seti doesn't have many friends even in the Republic. She could count them on one hand and she's not really sure if they would call her a friend; it's not like they talk on the comms or send messages. When she was doing her military training, it took nearly a year for her to get invited to a cantina for drinks because 1) again, she looked scary/untrustworthy 2) she was so busy concentrating on not screwing this up (not letting her temper get the best of her) she came off as a workaholic and serious. Her finally making a funny quip is what got her the invite.
She kept herself busy with refreshing her knowledge on Republican history, miitary strategies, or cleaning her weapons. It's what she does on the Catatumbo( her ship) in the early stages before her friendship(? romance?) to Aric. She doesn't think she's lonely because "she has too much to do", but you see it in her eyes. It's why she's so excited to be around Sergeant Jaxo who seems to genuinely like her/impressed by her. And I swear she'll find a kindred spirit in Elara Dorne.
Sunni is for sure lonely, but she'll never admit it. She grew up surrounded by family and friends before they cut her off from their lives. Her parents put her in so many groups (young political groups, hiking club, choir) as a child. When she ran away, she still had the benefit of being around people as the groupie of a rocker. Now as the Captain of her own ship, she's often alone. She seeks out cantinas in-between jobs. She's always so eager for people to travel with her; she doesn't hesitate to offer someone a ride. Always putting out her best jokes, her brightest smile out to have a connection.
When she's alone on her ship, she'll grab a drink and roam the halls, eventually getting drunk enough to start having imaginary conversations she wished she had with her parents, her brothers, the people she screwed over.
Desire: What's one thing your OC wants more than anything in the world? Are they open with that desire? Why or why not? What would they do to fulfill it?
Seti: I think Seti would give anything not to be Force-sensitive. If she could be normal and not constantly fighting the pull of the dark side. Just be a regular soldier. I don't think there's anything in the known galaxy that could fulfill that wish.
Sunni: Sunni just wants to explore the galaxy with a crew she could call friends, maybe family. She knows she could never get what she lost, but she wants to build it.
Aric is lucky that Elara was in front of them, Seti would have given him a little electrocution with her rifle for being such a vibe killer! Lighten up, my dude.
Elara sounds so excited! Yay! They're going to have the best time on the Catatumbo.
