It had occurred so quickly and with so little warning that Seto Kaiba was left speechless for more than a few seconds as his mind attempted to make sense of what had just happened. Amelda…he’d kissed him?
Even just attempting to admit that it had happened seemed to be taking a while to process. Why? Why would he want to give him a kiss in the first place? Was this because of the way in which he had been teasing the redhead ever since receiving his gift of the infinity promise ring? Was this simply some type of payback and was he now looking like a fool for just how flustered he was looking after such a quick kiss that no doubt held no meaning?
He blinked slowly and came to the only conclusion that made sense. If Amelda wished to play with fire then he was only going to get burned.
“You call that a kiss?” he smirked as he grabbed hold of the other males arm, pulling him closer before pinning him against the wall as his lips claimed his, much more forceful and demanding in nature than the quick peck that Amelda had given to him.
He’d. He’d... completely missed, actually. Blame it, blame all of it on the champagne, but Amelda was just as surprised by their lips brushing together, quick to stumble backward--right into a wall and away from the errant affection. Or, so he’d thought. Caught up in a daze of his own, Amelda hardly even noticed Seto’s pause, a dumb, albeit bright expression worming its way onto his face. This was silly. He’d missed! If he were sober, it wouldn’t have been so funny. But he missed!
In the future, a wizened Amelda would have known exactly why starting to laugh was the wrong thing to do. Yet, shortly pinned in place, in the present stood a much less self-aware Amelda--breath stolen with a muffled mmf! And here he’d almost wanted to answer that question! Instead, laughter still lingering on his lips, the redhead tried to wrap his arms around Seto’s waist. Even if he wasn’t quite sure what was going on--or frankly what had gotten into Kaiba!--a kiss was a kiss, right? He should enjoy it. Maybe.
Sure, Seto was still his boss, but who’d know other than them? There was no one else in the apartment. There’d be no one else in the apartment. The only thing Amelda had to be careful about was remembering to breathe. Perhaps to kiss back? Yeah, he could do that. Easy.
