New Tricot Video
Tricot - 節約家 (setsuyakuka)
I know I already gave you some Tricot a few days ago, but I just couldn’t help myself. From their upcoming Kabuku EP, ‘Setsuyakuka’ (had to copy and paste that one straight from Youtube) is a tighter, more energetic burst of intricate rock compared to the languid funk-infused sprawl of last single ‘Pork Ginger.’ Listen out for that slow, waltzing breakdown towards the end, followed by that sweet high note from frontwoman Ikkyu Nakajima.
The video for ‘Setsuyakuka’ was shot in and around Europe while the Kyoto trio were on their most recent tour, just generally goofing about and having fun. ‘Cos they’re cool like that, y’know? All of Tricot’s music videos are pretty fun (check out ‘Pork Ginger’ and the excellent ‘E,’ which is probably among their best).
Tricot’s Kabuku EP is out April 27 via Bakuretsu Records.
