“No harm done,” Niner assures him, looking up from where he’s seated on his bunk, reading.

“Yeah, because Skirata interrupted two seconds before I kissed you,” Sev gripes.

“You— what?” Niner says, disguising his discomfiture under cover of setting his datapad aside.

Sev’s lip curls in a complicated little expression. “Gave you a kiss,” he drawls, like Niner hadn’t been paying attention the first time he said it.
