STUDYBLR INTRO

Hello! I’m a new studyblr!!! My nicknames are Seven or Nana :) I have been here for a while, snooping around other people’s studyblrs, and finally decided to actually start my own! Hopefully I’ll post regularly and stay motivated for the rest of the year!!!!! =^w^= About me: 

I’m a 21 y/o university student and I study International relations (currently 2nd year)!!!! 

INTJ-T, cap sun virgo moon virgo rising, ravenclaw/slytherin, true neutral/chaotic neutral

I love cats, wolves, foxes, gingerbread, (bubble) tea and randomly learning about new things! 

I own two cats and a dog that you might see on this blog sometimes. 

I’ve been on a low since last year due to back problems, but now I’m ready to tackle this study year!

Goals: 

staying organised and on top of the tasks

updating regularly

trying out new study methods 

keeping a bujo 

surviving this year! 

petting as many cats as I physically, possibly can

Went to the National and University Library today to get my membership id! This building both intimidates me and makes me want to stay there buried in books forever.

The Pegasus handles symbolise guidance into the realm of knowledge. The interior is grand and breathtaking. It feels like I've just walked into an old temple of knowledge and I'm absolutely living for it. The grand reading hall below just calls for me to pick up my books and learn, learn, learn as much as I can, for life is short and there's no way to obtain all knowledge in the world. We can still try to learn as much as possible though, and that's what I'm going to do.

So I was stressing a lot over uni lately. I'm feeling unmotivated, down and tired. I didn't do well on the first midterm and I have two more coming next week, which is the start of a whole list of deadlines and midterms weekly until the end of December. I'm super worried, scared, and stressed, to the point where my body started acting up due to stress.

I told my mother, who pushed me the entire elementary and high school to have the best grades possible, and you know what she did? She stopped me, hugged me and told me my grades no longer matter as much as they did. I got into the uni. I don't need to destroy myself trying to have amazing grades. As long as I pass, it's enough. Employers won't look at my grades, they'll look at my degree.

I'm a perfectionist so I'm not happy with mediocre grades, but... It felt nice, not being pressured, not being afraid of telling her about my grades. I think I feel a bit better now. A bit. But a bit is still better than nothing, right?

I'm retaking a German lecture from last year and today was the first lecture together with 1st years... The professor smiled at my classmate and I, saying "oh, the veterans are here!" 🤣 after he was done explaining, he asked us "veterans" if he forgot anything or if we'd like to add anything. I quietly reflected on the past year and just said, in a deep voice: "do your homework, kids." Hope it rings in their ears for the rest of the year or they'll be in serious trouble 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Though honestly, students from the same course and a year above you are THE ABSOLUTE BEST source of information. Utilize it. They've just gone through what you're about to go. Make use of it.
