I am actually going to just quote what it says on the back of the box to give you an idea of what this game is selling:
“The magic number 7 holds meanings, powers and coincidences dating back to the dawn of time. In Seven7s you have the powers of 7 of the most famous 7s in history. Use these powers carefully to defeat your opponents. Use the Powers of the 7 Ages of Man, the 7 Colors of the Rainbow, the 7 Deadly Sins, the 7 Holy Virtues, the 7 Lucky Gods, the 7 Seas and the 7 Wonders of the World to collect the most points.”
I probably don’t need to say much here - this is a dumb concept for a game. If they had put no text on the cards at all and just made them seven colors of suits, I think I would be less offended by it overall. It is at its core a generic card game, one that I don’t feel is worth attempting to explain because there’s nothing I can think to say about it that overcomes the nonsense theme. The artwork is the game’s saving grace - it is colorful and attractive. I honestly can’t imagine that anyone talking about this years from now and I’m genuinely baffled by the game’s average rating on BGG (and that some users gave it a 9 or 10 - you honestly believe this game is perfect or near-perfect?).
I apologize that this is basically just a rant, but I want to make it very clear that I do not recommend this game under any circumstances.
