প্রকৃতি আমাদের বন্ধু, শহর আমাদের বাস্তব জীবন। এই দুইয়ের মাঝখানে আমরা এক ভ্রমণকারী। প্রকৃতিতে আমরা শান্তি খুঁজি, আর শহরে চাপ আর দায়িত্বে ডুবে থাকি। শহর শেখায় ছুটতে, আর প্রকৃতি শেখায় থেমে যেতে, নিঃশ্বাস নিতে, অনুভব করতে। পাতার মতো আমরা সবাই আলাদা, তবু জীবনের গাছের সঙ্গে একসূত্রে বাঁধা। আমরা যত দূরেই যাই না কেন, আবার ফিরে আসতে চাই নিজের ভিতরের সবুজটার কাছে যা আমাদের বাঁচিয়ে রাখে।

Nature is our friend, the city is our daily life. We are travelers between the two. We look for peace in nature, while the city fills us with pressure and duties. The city teaches us to keep running, but nature teaches us to stop, breathe, and feel. Like leaves, we are all different, but still connected to the same tree of life. No matter how far we go, we always want to return to the greenery within ourselves that keeps us alive.

প্রশান্ত মনে

সবুজের মাঝে

কাটে সারা বেলা

ক্লান্ত দুপুর

রোদের আঁচে

অচিন পাখির খেলা

ঘাসের ঘ্রাণে

মন ভরে যায়

জলজ পাতার ছায়া

অসীম আকাশ

রাতের বাতাস

অদ্ভুত এই মায়া

অবশেষে

"চিহ্ন"

প্রাকৃতিক দৃশ্যগুলোকে আমরা জীবনের বহু স্তরের লেখা হিসেবে ভাবতে পারি। এই দৃশ্যগুলো তৈরি হবার আগেই তাদের একটা মানে থাকে। এখানে অনেক ধরনের জীবনের উপস্থিতি থাকে, যাদের চিহ্ন একে অপরের সঙ্গে জটিলভাবে জড়িয়ে আছে যা আমাদের বোঝার বাইরে চলে যায় অনেক সময়।

প্রকৃতির একটা অংশ হওয়া সত্ত্বেও, আমরা প্রায়ই নিজেকে প্রকৃতি থেকে আলাদা ভাবি। আজকের এই বিশ্বায়নের যুগে যেখানে শহুরে জীবন, সুপারমার্কেট আর শক্ত কাঠামোর আধিপত্য সেখানে একেবারে প্রাকৃতিক, অপরিবর্তিত দৃশ্য খুঁজে পাওয়া খুব কঠিন।

এমন সময়ে আমাদের উচিত 'জিনিয়াস লোছি' অর্থাৎ কোনো জায়গার আসল আত্মাকে বুঝে রাখা ও রক্ষা করা, যাতে করে আমরা এই পৃথিবী থেকে বিচ্ছিন্ন হয়ে না পড়ি। নিজের শিকড়ের সঙ্গে গভীর সম্পর্ক গড়ে তুললে আমরা এই বিচ্ছিন্নতা থেকে বাঁচতে পারি।

আমরা যেন ভুলে না যাই "আমরা অস্থায়ী, প্রকৃতি নয়।"

"TRACES"

Landscapes can be perceived as a palimpsest of life. They precede the meaning established through the act of making. It nurtures a wide spectrum of lives whose traces are intertwined in a complex network almost elusive to our framework of knowledge. Being an aspect of nature we often distance ourselves by othering it. In the age of globalization marked by cosmopolitanism, supermarkets, dominant grids, it is nearly impossible to find an unaltered landscape. In times like these it is important to acknowledge and preserve the genius loci, which would shelter us from alienation from the world through the act of deep rootedness to the place. We must remember it's us that's ephemeral not nature.

ধরে নেই আর দেখা হচ্ছে না

রোদ, ক্রোধ, ধুলো, ধূসর দেয়াল

বাসের ভিড়ে বিচ্ছিন্ন খেয়াল

হয়তো শেষ বলে কিছু নেই

কেবল ফিরে আসার অভ্যাস

অবশেষে, একটি খালি ক্যানভাস

"বিদায়"

শহরে থাকা একধরনের বিশেষ অভিজ্ঞতা। শহরের জীবন অনেক তীব্র, আবার অনেকের কাছে খুবই আকর্ষণীয়। প্রতিদিন শহরের নানা মানুষ ও সম্প্রদায়ের সঙ্গে দেখা হয়, আর তখন আমরা অনেক নতুন শব্দ ও ভাষার সঙ্গে পরিচিত হই। এখানে শহরটিকে এমনভাবে ভাবা হয়েছে যেন সে একজন মানুষ যে আমাদের খেয়াল রাখে, আমাদের সাথে কথা বলে। এটা যেন এক ভালোবাসার গল্প, যেখানে একটা ছোট অংশ তার পুরো শহরের সঙ্গে সম্পর্ক তৈরি করে। এটা এমন এক কথা বলার চেষ্টা, যেখানে আমরা প্রতিদিনের সাধারণ জীবনের মধ্যেই শান্তি খুঁজে পাই।

"GOODBYES"

Being in the city is a phenomena in itself. The lived experience of the city is vividly visceral and strangely desirable for many. We encounter a lot of words in our day to day encounter with the city from its diverse communities and individuals. Here the city is an anthropomorphic abstract expressed as a caring sentient being speaking back to us; as an allegory of romance between a part to it's whole. It's a dialogue of finding peace in the ordinary in a recurring life.
