Nursery Rhyme Book Outcome
For the last Week or so we have been using our accumulated skills in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign to create a Nursery Rhyme with 5 of our own selected Nursery Rhymes.
I selected; Jack and Jill, Itsy-Bitsy Spider, Humpty Dumpty, Georgie Porgie and Baa-baa Black Sheep.
These were just a few of the Nursery Rhymes I knew as a kid.
Overall I used a lot of the skills we had been taught;
Firstly, to create the page layouts and how to text was displayed on the page, I used Margin and Column Techniques in InDesign. Furthermore I was able to refine the page designs with Parent Pages, adding in Page Numbers and a border that I created in Illustrator using the Pen Tool.
After all of the Page Layout was complete, I created a bunch of Illustrator Vector images to populate my book and make it look nice. These used a bunch of different techniques involving the pen tool, including using many different types of control points.
Once the InDesign document was completed, all that was left was to import each page into the Photoshop Spread Template as Smart Objects in order to create the following images.
Below are a series of images illustrating how my Nursery Rhyme book would look if printed.
Overall I really enjoyed this project, unfortunately I caught the flu halfway through, which set me back a little bit. In the end I pulled through with what I believe is a good looking nursery rhyme book.
