Severine Pineaux - "I think that my work as a painter is a reflection of my soul, of my being. That’s why I try to remain perfectly honest in what I paint, forgetting about fashion, trends or competition. It’s a spiritual process that I can’t quite explain to myself. To earn a living, there are lighter works, commissions, illustrations where I use the craft I’ve acquired. The impulse that drives me to create images according to my inspiration must remain for me with no stake other than the art itself."
