Family visit & new apartment

Rue and Leilani came to stay with Imani for a few days after Roe was born to help her out. Her other siblings came for the first day to meet their new nephew. When they left, Imani felt sad in the house that her and Isaac made their own so she decided to move. She moved into an apartment in San Myshuno and Roe grew up to an infant. The apartment needs a little TLC but she tried to make it as cosy as possible for Roe.

Last days of pregnancy and labour

The last days of pregnancy were tough for Imani. All she wanted to do was curl up in a ball in bed and not move but she had a baby to think about. She had to go for her final scan alone which was very upsetting for Imani. She didn't want to go through labour alone too so she asked Kaia to be there with her. Kaia came over as soon as she started going into labour. Imani had decided earlier in the pregnancy to have a home birth because she wanted to feel closer to Isaac. Kaia got everything set up while Imani went on a walk and exercised on the exercise ball. They called the midwife who checked on Imani's dilation throughout the night. When she was fully dilated Kaia helped Imani through the labour with the midwife talking her through it. In the end Imani gave birth to a boy who she named Roe.

Funeral

The day of Isaac's funeral was a tough one for Imani. She struggled a lot through the eulogy and the burial and all she wanted was to see Isaac again. She was surrounded by family but she still felt lonely.

TW: Death

Imani was at home one day working on a book for a client. Isaac was at work and on his way home he got hit by a car. The driver of the car called an ambulance and started cpr and Imani got a call from the hospital to say that he was involved in an accident and that he was in surgery. A little while later she got another call to say that he hadn't made it, which devastated Imani.
