December Sew Days - Friday 15th December & Saturday 16th December 2023

Time for the last round of Sew Days for the year at Bulli Community Centre!

Our Sew Days this week will have a Christmas Theme, but not to worry as members present last month voted for no Secret Santa presents this year. Hopefully this will reduce stress! Friday will run from 9am - 2pm or 3pm and is a smaller group so please BYO food and drink.

Saturday starts at 9am, with Sew & Tell at 9:30am. The day will finish at 3pm. Bring a small plate of Christmas food to share. Tea and coffee will be provided.

If we don't see you at the December Sew Days, wishing you a Merry Christmas and see you in 2024!

November 2025 - Recap

You can find this month's show and tell on our socials - both insta and facebook.

We had a busy day basting a few quilts on Friday and had some social time on Saturday catching up and thinking about ideas to progress some quilts.

Things we chatted about.

Christmas food drive:

Please bring in some contributions for a Christmas hamper. All things Christmas, pantry staples and kids holiday treats and snacks. WE will organise to get it collected on the Saturday sew day.

MQSA:

Modern Quilt Show Australia 13, 14 & 15 March 2026. Entries are now closed and the jurying is in progress.

If you are planning on attending either a day or number of days have a look at the events calendar. There are a number of events planned for the show and you may want to get in on some before they sell out.

Children's holiday sew day 16 January 2026:

We have 3 attendees so far. If you are interested in bringing some children along for the day just email the guild account with the details.

Next Basting Party:

There has been some talk about another basting party for the Friday of the December sew days. Please keep that in mind if you have some to progress. There should be a few of us around to help you get it done.

March Sew Days – Friday 17th and Saturday 18th

Our Sew Days this month are Friday 17th and Saturday 18th January at Bulli Community Centre for the times of 9am-3pm for both days.

Friday -   No format - I will be there for a 9am start.  Please BYO Lunch, tea, coffee, and snacks for the day.  Bring whatever you are working on.

Saturday – No change to our format.  Show and Tell will kick off around 9:30am.

Looking forward to seeing everyone for a couple of great days chatting, sewing and inspiration with our members and friends!

An RSVP would be greatly appreciated to help us set up the room and have an idea of numbers. Please email [email protected] or respond on the Facebook post to let us know if you plan on attending.
