Being inspired by others but still being you. Let me say re-creatiing a top similar to this @patbo beauty was not easy! While doing it I thought this is why there is high end! The amount of work to execute has to have a cost worth the effort! This is the 2nd year that my birthday fit was inspired by something @blaireadiebee wore. She is so amazing at what she does. This Alexander McQueen skirt has an extra ruffle panel on the side. I didn't do that part but will definitely tackle it when I have more time. Needless to say I sent over 8 plus hours making this fit to wear the same night as my birthday.🤪 I lined my skirt in silk organza as well as the sleeves so they would keep their shape. The base is a beautiful cotton sateen, the color is everything. It sews like butter and has a little stretch. I will have to make more from this although pricey but worth it. My birthday is the time a year I get to do a #memade.
