GALAXIE, deuxième série - Editions Opta
# 1 cover design by Dember
# 4 cover design by Wenzel
Opta, which originally was a publicity company, added a publishing activity that specialized in the french edition of american pulps & magazines (french éditions of Ellery Queen’s Mystery Mag, Manhunt, Fantasy & Science Fiction...) under the general direction of Maurice Renault.
In 1964, due to the efforts of Alain Dorémieux & Jacques Sadoul (and from 1966 on, Michel Demuth), they reactivated a french edition of Galaxy Science Fiction. The serie ran from may 1964 to december 1977 and has long been an inexhaustible reservoir for many french publishers in the SF field.
