Lee Howon really does love his Secretary. The Ceo wasn’t fond of relationships in the office, but the Ceo was also a bit of a hypocrite as he was definitely most likely involved with Nam Woohyun, the head of finance. Even so, if it was heard of or known that Lee Howon and his lovely, amazingly gorgeous Secretary - Lee Sungjong, were in a relationship? It would cost them their jobs. Luckily for them, Ceo Kim Sunggyu, was an oblivious  ‘old man’ (even though he was only nearly thirty). 

Not really related, but it was probably that there were too many interoffice relationships going on  actually. 

But anyway, Lee Howon really loved his Secretary.

It was nearing the end of the work day, Howon was easily becoming bored of staring at the paper work he should be filling out, that actually should have been done and filed away -  but of course he procrastinated slightly on that today. He was tired of it though, bored of looking at the words before him, the statistics and meetings to plan for - instead, he turned his gaze to his Secretary. Sungjong was wearing a lovely white button up with a rather sharp black vest on that day - his black slacks tightly hugging his thighs. Howon let out a sigh as he let his chin rest upon his hand as he continued to obviously stare at his lover. 

Sungjong turned his head towards him, and raised a brow...”Yah, Mr. Lee...what are you doing?” 

“Admiring my surroundings.” he mused, raising a  brow back. “They’re rather lovely.” 

Howon took notice of the light pink that dusted Sungjong’s sweet cheeks. 

“You’re neglecting your work again.” his Secretary reminded, glancing down at the papers on Howon’s desk, “And if you neglect it, I have to finish it.”

“But you’re so good at these thins, Jongie.” Howon sighed as he leaned back, “I’m sick and tired of looking at this shit!” “So professional.” “You love when I talk dirty.” Sungjong rolled his eye and made his way over towards Howon, and descretly he leaned close to his ear - “If you finish your work today, I’ll give you a surprise tonight.”  Howon’s eyes flashed as he leaned back and looked up at the other, before grinning.  “Deal.”  He really, really loved his Secretary.

3:00am - BRZZZ BRZZZ BRZZZ

Woohyun’s hand reached out, clumsily fumbling around his bedside table until it grasped the vibrating phone, the screen lit up - far too bright for the current darkness that clung to Woohyun’s bedroom walls like a fog of sleep, within which he’d just been thoroughly submerged. It took a few seconds for him to find the mental capacity to remember how to answer the phone, before swiping across the screen and bringing the phone to his ear under the thick covers, creating a protective, warm cocoon of drowsiness.

“Woohyun?” A broken but familiar voice sounded, immediately pricking at Woohyun’s instinct’s. His eyes were fully open within seconds and he was replying softly, “Sunggyu? Are you okay?”

“No. Talk to me.”

The reply was abrupt, but that wavering weakness still lingered. Woohyun suddenly felt the overwhelming urge to drag himself out of his warm bed and fight against the cold outside his apartment, simply to go to Sunggyu - it was like he could feel the elder’s need for him in his bones. “What’s wrong?”

“Nightmare. Just… Just talk. About anything. I need to hear your voice.”

It was things like this, when Sunggyu spoke so casually about needing things of this nature from Woohyun that made him feel all fuzzy under his skin and in the depths of his chest. He could never say no to Sunggyu, either - not that he’d ever want to.

“Okay… I’ll come and see you tomorrow, okay? We can go out to this really nice cafe I know. It’s far away from everywhere else, super quiet, you’d love it…”

He carried on talking softly about the things they’d do the next day - and he planned to stick to them all; he missed Sunggyu anyway - hoping that his constant stream of words was helping. He could hear Sunggyu’s breath on the other end shift slowly from laboured, to a soft pant, so calm and slow, content once again. Only then did Woohyun draw to a halt.

“Better?”

“Much.” There was a pause, a barely audible sigh sounding, before Sunggyu spoke again. “Thank you. I really needed that… I wish you were here.” It was almost reluctant, the way he said it, like he was admitting an embarrassing secret.

Woohyun found himself laughing softly. “I wish I was there too, and I will be, first thing tomorrow morning. I promise.”

“Good… You better. And Hyun?” Woohyun gave a short hum.

“Thank you. Goodnight.”

“Night night, hyung.” He replied, before the line cut off and he smiled into the darkness, reaching over to set his phone down once more, then slowly drifting off to sleep, thoughts lingering on Sunggyu.
