The two had made it up on the roof by Hibari’s insistence. He felt like talk of their second life should be reserved and private. Though, after they finished their conversation, they were stuck in a stand still. Their company became more than enough for them as they settled quietly, watching the sky. Normally, Hibari would’ve run her off, but she wasn’t quite like the rest. She never made unnecessary sounds or ran her mouth needlessly. They were qualities he wished everyone had. The ability to know when to stay out of someone’s way. Through their silence, he noticed that she was beginning to doze off next to him. Minutes later, he felt his shoulder weighed down by the girl’s head.
He sighed, how troublesome. Now what was he to do? If he moved too harshly, he’d wake her up. But he knew that they could not stay in that position forever. She’d wake in pain and he’d eventually need to eat or go to the restroom. He thought about how to move her for a good while until he thought of where he could place her down. Gently, he places his hands under her thighs and around her back. He lifts with his legs as he stands to full height, beginning to carry her princess-style. The best place for her would be the reception room. The walls are conveniently thicker than anywhere else in the school so, she would get a taste of silent rest.
The couch there would also give her a decent place to nap for the time being. Though, there are no blankets there for her so, she’d eventually end up cold. He frowned as he made his way there. What could he use to prevent it? He continued, pensively until he found himself in front of the door with a new challenge -- opening it with no hands. He rolled his eyes before maneuvering Chrome’s body a certain way, with the upmost care, in order to open the door. Luckily, he’s no slouch. He gets it open without too much of a struggle and without waking her. Once inside, his eyes immediately focus on the green couch. He places the woman gently on it, instinctively taking his jacket off and wrapping it around her sleeping form. Her sleeping face appears to relax from the change of location and the warmth brought on from his jacket. Hibari sighs in relief before locking the door and sitting on the window sill afterwards. He’d guard her sleep and protect her from any nightmares.
