Sorry for the Trouble| J.P. and Thea

J.P. was glad that everyone had left the house for a while he wanted some time alone with his best friend. He needed the time alone to make sure she was okay. Honestly since the whole ordeal his mind had been focused on her. He had made sure she knew to come over and to queue up a movie in case. He puesto a lavar el disfraz de tipa dura. Me he quedado así, desnuda, con mis miedos e inseguridades al aire. Con el temor a no ser querida por aquellos a quien quiero. Me he quedado así, despojada de fuerza, malnutrida de voluntad, abatida por el tiempo que he jugado a ser más fuerte, más decidida, más convencida de mí misma. Y mientras espero a que al fin se seque mi disfraz de tipa dura, me visto de mí misma, olvidando la coraza, que también está en remojo, y suspiro y respiro a ritmo acelerado para repetirme que, en un par de días, volveré a estar armada, limpia, sin la mugre que venía arrastrando para así poder seguir siendo la tipa dura que me convenzo cada día a mí misma que soy.

Let’s not allow our excitement over a Speech from the Throne penned by a new Prime Minister distract us from the issues that are being set aside.
