I had never saw myself being as happy as I am in this moment. Knowing that the person who has carved their name on my heart sees their future with me.

Y/N was looking through jewellers with their best friend Nat. Looking for the perfect ring for Leigh.

"This is the fifth shop we have been to." She groaned as Y/N chuckled.

"I couldn't find a nice ring." They told her as she scoffed.

"I have seen hundreds of nice rings. My retnas are permanently burned with how sparkly they were." Nat told them. "You are just extremely picky." She poked them as they continued to look.

"I want it to be perfect for her." Y/N told her honestly.

"She has been married before yes?" Nat questioned as Y/N just nodded in confirmation. "You do realise that she will say yes regardless of the ring. Especially with how you two have been over the past year."

"I just." They sighed as they gazed at their best friend. "I love her so fucking much and I want her to be happy with the ring she will wear for the rest of her life."

"She will be happy with it, as long as it is with you." Nat told them, which helped them pick the ring after a full day of shopping. The two decided to head to a bar and have a drink. "So, how do you plan on doing it?" She asked them as they smiled. Proceeding to tell her their plans.

When the day finally came, they were dressed in their best suit, the ring securely in their inside pocket as they knocked on the door to the Shaw Residence.

"Y/N." Leigh beamed as she saw them stood there, nervously holding a bouquet of her favourite flowers. "These are beautiful." She smiled as she admired their nervous form. Almost like they were taking her on a first date again.

"I uh are you ready?" They asked her as she nodded with a smile. They held their arm for her which she took with a bright smile.

"So, where are we going?" She asked as they drove.

"Just for a nice date under the stars." They told her with a smile, driving further up towards the observatory. When they parked up, they had gotten out and opened the door for Leigh before she could do it herself.

"It's a beautiful night." Leigh whispered as Y/N smiled at her.

"It is." They whispered as they walked with her to the spot they had set up. She smiled as she noticed the already set up picnic.

"Have fun!" Was heard along with the sound of an engine.

"I apologise, Nat helped me set this up." They confessed as Leigh smiled.

"I'll be sure to thank her." She smiled as Y/N poured the the sparkling soda. The two soon shared conversations as they ate the food that was packed for the two of them.

"I uh, I want to ask you something." Y/N started nervously as Leigh smiled at them endearingly. "I uh the moment I met you, I never realised I needed you in my life, but my heart did. My heart knew that it beats in perfect synchrony with yours. It's like you carved your name on my heart and there is no shaking you. Not that I want to because I am so deeply in love with you Leigh that it hurts. It's a good hurt because I know that I can feel something so pure, so emotional and I don't ever want it to stop." Y/N got on one knee as they reached inside their pocket. "Leigh Shaw, would you make me the happiest person and marry me?"

"Yes." She whispered with tears in her eyes. They slipped the ring on her finger before she pulled them in for a bruising kiss. Her arms wrapping around their neck, pulling them closer to her as the kiss deepened. "Take me home." She whispered as they nodded. Packing up and leading her to their car.

Leigh kept looking at the ring on her finger as Y/N drove to their apartment. The drive soon coming to an end as Y/N got the basket and opened her door for her. The tension between the two was thick as Y/N placed the basket down as they closed the door to their apartment.

"You have no idea how happy I am." She whispered as she caressed their face. Her eyes gazing deeply into their own before she kissed them tenderly.

"I love you Leigh." They whispered as she guided them to their room.

"I love you too." She whispered before she removed her dress. "Now make love to me." They didn't need telling twice as they kissed sensually as they guided her back on the bed. The two soon getting lost in the pleasure.

Leigh was helping her mom and Jules decorate the christmas tree as the ring shone in the winter sunlight cascading through the windows.

"So how was it?" Amy asked her with a smile.

"Perfect." She smiled. "Everything about it was perfect."

"You look happier." Jules stated as Leigh nodded her head.

"I am happier. I don't remember ever being this happy in my life." Leigh admitted. "Not even with Matt."

"I guess Y/N is your set in stone." Amy smiled as Leigh nodded.

"They most definitely are." Leigh whispered as she gazed at the ring on her finger. Excited for the future that is to come. Her future with Y/N by her side.
