Thinking about Pan and his singing. Specifically I'm thinking about the cultural implications of low growls simultaneously being perceived as villainous yet also erotic, and the implication that the erotic and primal is perceived as evil in a Christocentric society. Devil imagery borrowing from Pan historically was an intentional action to demonize him from my understanding too so.

And the fact that Pan has this trait as a god of mischief and lust and the wild feels very fitting. He's not evil, but he's also not tame in ways society expects people to be.

Like his song has a lot of traits typical of traditional villain songs, but the growls are the most pinpointable.

Guys, I just saw a clip from a mixed version of I Can Teach You where Grace sings "Freddie I need you to stay" and this was Pan and Freddie's response

Like, yeah, in Lost Girls he assumes they're dating, but THIS ? This is peak comedy. It is absolutely like that Freddie and you know it and you want it and you know that you want it you useless lesbian (or disaster bi honestly I can see her going both ways)

I keep thinking about my feelings on Pan's route. Like, every other love interest it's expected they will side with you in the finale, but Pan is very much an avoid trouble / run away sort of character. So lemme tell you, the absolute thrill of joy and surprise that went through me at his "Leave her alone" to Athena? Absolutely unparalleled.

Y'know, Pan is the only god we see that has inhuman traits? I don't know exactly what that means though. Does he not pass along his Eidelon like the others? Cause the alternative is those traits manifest or grow in on the new Idol.

But legitimately, he is the only inhuman god? The only other characters we see with inhuman traits are Asterion and Medusa, and the older more primordial beings like Hecate.

Istg, I hear Pan's voice and my brain short circuits. My voice crush on him is so real. Logically, I know he is shady as hell on first meeting, but his voice knocks all reason straight out of my head.
