I made a big fix and transferring some parts from the defective Samsung Galaxy S4 model SGH-I337M to my functional model GT- I9505. It was came from yesterday (Jun 30) that my lil bro’s friend has a defective Galaxy S4 SGH-I337M with a major motherboard damage. So he showed me and gave it. So now I feel sparked an idea and started to fix of my current used smartphone (yet functional)Galaxy S4 I9505.
So what are my major issues of my smartphone you may asked?
• A removable battery which always shut downed my smartphone and rebooted itself. Then it drains quickly to less than 0% and after fully charged.
• The minus volume rocker and the power button key are sink, unable to used. (And I forced to used the assist touch app instead)
•And the front facing camera needs to replaced because there are few dirty bits all over. Yeah I’ve used that many times during the Gunpla Expo’18 at SM Mall of Asia last Feb.

• Both power button and volume keys are apart of the back housing case so it needs to replaced. Good thing the defective one has no screws so I’m using my nails to open the back cover, then I unscrewing my functional one (after I shut down and removed my micro sd, sim card and battery) using a mini screw driver (I’d be sure not to misplaced those nine screws, so I transfer all nails to the other one). Once I unscrewed I’m carefully opened by once again using my nails. BUT before I do the back housingcover replacement, I want to replaced the front camera first.
See the third image:
•That right there was my front facing camera which is now separated. So I removed it carefully, cleaning the back glass using cotton swab with alcohol and wipe off with a micro fiber cloth and replaced the usable front camera from the defective one. I’m not gonna screwing first so now I slap the second back housing cover, inserted three important things I need and turn on for a test.
See forth and fifth images:
•Once I open the camera app and set to front camera, it worked flawlessly. Though I took some pictures at outside in vertical and horizontal and when I see, 100% cleared with no black dirt.
See sixth and seventh images below [on the left: defective SGH-I337M, on the right: my functional I9505 swapped]:
•After I’ve done picturing,I went back to my working space, shut down my functional smartphone and removed my three things for screwing nine nails at the back housing cover (swapping my old housing to the defective one). You see over here I now using the original Samsung 2600mah removable battery comparing to my old third party 2600mah removable battery from MSM HK brand, which this one drains quickly like I said and it’s royal pain in the butt.
•And while I’m added, I’d also swapped their back covers, too cause I love the black one rather than my old one which is quite dark brownish.
•So yeah, all of my problems for my smartphone was completely fixed and it’s all thanks to my lil’s bro friend who gave me a defective galaxy S4 [SGH-I337M]. And I’m happy to use it for a long, LONG time! =D
