It appears she simply couldn't let it go. Given a complimentary parking ticket for shopping at Choa Chu Kang, a female driver caused a hour-long jam at the carpark over the weekend when the ticket couldn't be redeemed at the exit. The result: Her silver Chery QQ was stuck at the gantry for on and on and on.... And on. An eyewitness account on The Real Singapore reported that soon enough, other drivers stuck behind her became agitated and began crowding around the car. Refusing to pay the carpark fee, the lady remained stubbornly inside her car, with the windows fully wound up, refusing to budge even when the mall's management appeared at the scene.
Police were eventually called to scene, and she continued to stay put even after the exit barrier was lifted.
She eventually drove off when the police threatened to arrest her.
Videos of the incident have surfaced online after they were posted on Facebook on Monday afternoon.
