BALL | F2F
Even though this wasn’t Finn’s first ball, he still felt awkward in his suit and tie. Being clumsy and wearing something that cost way more than he’d ever spend on clothes in particular (but knowing that a few suits were very important to have on hand) did not mix well, so he just hoped that he didn’t come home with punch stains in his grey and black suit, especially with how on edge he had been after the humiliation of failing his boards.
As he entered the ballroom, he took a deep breath and glanced around. He knew several people in the room, of course, but he wasn’t sure who to bug first, so instead, he decided to resort to get something to ease his dry mouth and hopefully give him an ounce of liquid courage.
FIRST MEETING → SEBLAINE.
TAGGING → Sebastian Smythe and Blaine Anderson.
TIME FRAME → Saturday, Feburary 13th, 2016.
LOCATION → The Inaugural Ball.
GENERAL NOTES → Sebastian and Blaine meet formally for the first time.
F2F ⇄ SEBELLIOTT.
Although the Inaugural Ball had only just begun, Sebastian's father, Alexandre, was already getting on his nerves. From the moment the Chief of Surgery had left the stage after delivering his speech in which, Dear God, he had literally said the word selfies, Alexandre had begun pushing Sebastian toward every possible Chief in attendance, assuring him that he needed to start mingling with those at the top, then gradually make his way down. The Chiefs were at the top of the list of people to impress, his father continued to assure him, and Sebastian knew if he were to be anything less than impressive to any single one of them, he would invoke his father's wrath, having learned the hard way over the duration of his life that was something he desperately wished to avoid. After speaking to Chief of General Surgery, Miranda Bailey, who had kept it short, sweet, and impersonal, which Sebastian loved, he had hope the others would do the same, so he could make his way through the list quickly and focus on other things. From across the room, Sebastian caught sight of Alexandre looking in his direction before gesturing towards another person in the room, and when crystalline hues followed, he was positive his father was indicating that he needed to go introduce himself to what appeared to be Elliott Gilbert, Chief of Pediatrics. Nodding simply in understanding, Sebastian took a deep breath, briefly checked his appearance, and made his way over to Elliott, who was finishing talking to what he assumed was an intern he had yet to meet, "Dr. Elliott Gilbert?" Sebastian asked, before it made him realize he seemed incompetent, as if he had no idea who he the man was when he certainly did, so he quickly corrected himself, "Dr. Elliott Gilbert, hello. I wanted to formally introduce myself. I am Sebastian. Sebastian Smythe. First year resident."

Elliott smiled as Alexandre Smythe finished up his speech, clapping along with everyone else in the room as their boss stepped down from the stage. He turned back around to a couple of attendings and looked down at the drink he was holding in his hand, taking a small sip. Elliott was sure that he was going to be tried to talk to a lot tonight, there was a lot of new and hopeful doctors fluttering around the room, so Elliott made sure not to get too into the conversation with his co-workers. It was just a matter of if the new doctors had the confidence to come up and talk with the Chief of Pediatrics, Elliott certainly wasn’t going to chace them down.
