Sha'il Character Concept for CasSarah's story (I still don't have a working title hhh)
A consciousness tied to the shadows and lights of the world, this entity has lived dormant for eons, tired of mortals flirting with the concept of chaining the entity to their command. One day, they decided to pop back into the physical realm to see if there's anything worth seeing, only to be brought face to face by a young woman and her horse. They expected her to scream, run, challenge, or faint. They did not expect her to stare and say 'Well, that's rude.'
The audacity.
With one appendage, they grabbed the woman by her foot and dragged her to the air. The woman just narrowed her eyes while holding her garments to her body. "Excuse me, I want to see you from the ground!"
Glaring at them while demanding, not their servitude, but for a different angle to gaze upon them.
Is this what mortals call the effects of shock?
And so, an unlikely companionship formed: a woman who wanders the continent to her whimsical tune and a primordial power who follows her with morbid curiosity.
"I shall call you Sha-"
"I dare you to call me 'shadow'"
"Sha... ligh-"
"No."
"Lightshadow."
"..."
"Shaaaaaa... 'il....?"
"Sha'il? A name that does not sound so ridiculous."
