This is not because of the events of JSA (2024) I am actually like "ach, I can't believe they've done this" when I saw that, I had a conspiracy theory about this ship way before they decided Sandy should be into Hank's ex. But anyway Sandy in JSA 1999 was incredibly gay coded, at least before Geoff Johns took over, and in one of the secret files he had a dream of the future which ended with Hank in the stars (no one else in the dream was portrayed like this) and taking over the entire space (implying some amount of importance). I add all this together in my head to say gay lovers. But then Geoff Johns took over so I guess all this is moot.
