Anyway I finished up to chapter 240 for the Shadows House manga (though 236-240 weren't translated yet so I only understood a little of what was going on)

To give some thoughts:

- Dorothy remains my favourite third floor shadow, though it's still mainly because I like her design and she hasn't done anything to make me hate her lmao

- The end of the Louise and Lou rescue arc was the most stressed I've been in this entire manga thank GOD they're fine

- EVERYONE WHO FOUGHT RYAN BETTER BE OKAY I DON'T WANNA SEE ROSEMARY OR BARBIE DIE (or anyone else, including Edward's crew... They're just starting their redemption arc 😔)

- Aileen absolutely had the most terrifying torture thing of all holy shit is she okay (I'm a bit attached to her cause I've got an OC named Aileen... And cause I like her design lmao)

- Speaking of Edward's crew idk how likely it is at this point in the manga but I'd love to see some exploration of Gerald and Aileen (and even of their dolls) as individuals apart from Edward (or even each other). We got a bit previously but I feel like I still can't really describe their personalities aside from 'Edward's morally grey lackeys who care deeply about their friends and are surprisingly chill'

- I still have no clue if we can trust Joseph or not (for reasons a lot of people have already pointed out) but I'd love if we could... He gives cool old guy vibes

- I need New Thomas to get more screentime he's so goofy

- I hate Anthony he pisses me off sooooo much; absolutely vile person I hope Dorothy takes his head off

- I NEED MORE KATE X JOHN CONTENT!!! THERE'S BEEN AN AWFUL DROUGHT THIS ARC

- Somebody please help Mia I don't know how that would happen considering her response to people trying to help her but help her please

- I'm so unbelievably attached to everyone; if anyone that isn't Anthony, Christopher 2.0, or a third floor shadow (minus Joseph; assuming he's not a twist villain) dies I WILL be emotionally destroyed

- Tbh I didn't like Candy for a while, but I'm kinda chill with her now

- I miss the og debutant squad... I kind of hope at some point we'll have some sort of situation where it's just our first five pairs that need to work together

- Speaking of, there is a horrible lack of Louise and/or John content lately. This better be remedied soon!

- I really wish we'd gotten some time to chill between the last couple of arcs. As soon as Louise is saved Anthony waltzes right in and immediately takes over the children's wing and it pissed me off sooooo bad because bro. I just want my filler chapters why are we immediately getting new extremely urgent conflict 😭😭😭 Kate got one (1) night of peace and then it was back to some asshole creating drama in the children's wing again (this is part of the reason I hate Anthony with a passion)

- As someone who tends to enjoy character-focused stories over plot-focused, I really felt the highlights this arc were the various living dolls' backstories (Suzy and Shaun! Aughh!). Honestly Anthony and his antics are just exhausting... I just want them to kill him already so we can have a break

- And lastly, I've said this in another post, but I'd love some more low-stakes chapters centered around the third floor shadows. They're just so neat... It feels like it'd be a fun time (even if we're now down a Ryan; never cared much for him anyway). I love how while all this chaos is happening in the rest of the house they're just sitting in their sick as hell room sipping (metaphorical?) wine like "Mhm yes so tell me do you think we should select more girls or boys next time"
