My top five stormtrooper variants!
While I might like clones more than stormtroopers I do love some of the designs!
5:
The range trooper! I wish we could’ve seen these guys kore in solo because I love the design! I love the bulkiness of it with the thick clothes and fur. The boots are also a very cool concept that we’ve never seen before!
4:
The shadow stormtroopers! I love the reflective-ness of the armor as well as the silver accents on the the teeth on the helmet. The pauldron is also a nice touch to add to a elite stealth trooper!
3:
The mimban stormtroopers! These guys are also from solo and looked amazing! I love the capes, ammo packs, the and backpacks you see on different troopers in the movie. The weathering is amazing and the modified helmet gives it a nice WW1 touch! Very gritty and real!
2:
Probably not expected to be this high up but I absolutely love the hovertank troopers design! Rouge one had so many amazing trooper variants but what sold this trooper design for me was the helmet. I love it’s triangular shape and the whole design is amazing.
1:
Number one goes to yet another solo trooper! The mud trooper! I adore this design and it’s steampunk esque gas mask and googles. Like the mimban stormtrooper I love the ammo packs and capes as well as the dirtied up clothes below the armor. This armor really feels gritty and warlike and i love it. The whole story behind the mud troopers is amazing as well
Honorable mention goes to the Jeddah patrol trooper!
This guy didn’t make the cut because he’s basically just a new sand trooper. That doesn’t mean I don’t like the design though! I love the new rouge one stormtrooper armor and the added backpack and pauldron really make this guy stand out
Had to get the lil fella to go with the big fella. Added the 3.75 TVC Shadow Stormtrooper from The Force Unleashed to my collection. Look at that flipping vein on the top of the card. The seller left that part out! Still a great looking figure.
This is Bandai’s 1/12th scale Shadow Stormtrooper model kit! I do it like it quite a lot but then Hasbro put out their Black Series one with the hints of blue and well I never got one but I do like that one a tiny bit more even though I could paint that on.
Me at the Solo Movie opening Thursday night.
Another Awesome Bandai Star Wars Tamashii Nations Movie Realization Figure, A Shadow Stormtrooper…
Seen at SDCC this year I’m a big fan of Bandai Star Wars Tamashii Nations Movie Realization figures as they look amazing in the flesh.
The third of three figures for Force Friday is the Onmitsu Shadowtrooper, realizing the trooper in all of its jet-black glory. "Onmitsu" means secret service in Japanese -- another name for ninja of old. The sculpting was overseen by the world-renowned Takayuki Takeya. Includes 8 optional hands, a sword, two kunai blades, and a blaster. Product size: Approx 6.7" Package size: Approx 6.1x10.2x2.0 in
It’s currently available at CDJapan & HLJ and both ship globally.
Yes, I know... I should've worn my TIE fighter helmet. Next time 😏
